Neat euphemism for masturbation there.

Serious, non-sexual answer would have to be take some melatonin and fall asleep with a movie on. Only certain types of movies though. Think Citizen Kane, There Will Be Blood, The English Patient, etc. Good, but slow, films.
I suppose it is. xD

Watch a documentary, when you sleep your brain gets smarter thinking about subjects from a recently informed viewpoint

I tend to watch episodes of stuff like Futurama, and I often fall asleep while watching them.

Sometimes I watch some cartoons, but most of the time reading is the ideal before bed activity, because it makes me sleepy.

-EDIT- Or, if I get my hands on a new game before its actual release date, as was the case with the new Prince of Persia yesterday, play it until the sun rises, take notes for a review, then sleep in and get a parking ticket because I couldn't get a decent spot the night before. Damn it.

Personally I must play a solo on guitar from a song that I've listened to previously that day. Some people pray to God before bed, I prefer to offer the metal Gods good music.
That. And reading on the Escapist, that's fun.

I hold hands with my girlfriend and we think pure thoughts.

(Cookie for reference)

When she's not around, trawling through this forum works well for me.
I prefer to hold hands with my girlfriend and think unpure thoughts. Then act out those thoughts if possible, or desirable.

Either that or stand outside and enjoy the scenery. Always calms me down.

Smoke a bowl, if I have it. Helps me relax enough to sleep, I'm quite the insomniac most of the time. Reading is good sometimes, but if the book is good then I have a tendency to read 5 chapters before finally bringing myself to close it...

I've tried listening to soft music, or having a slow-paced movie going, but I'm the kind of person who's mind just latches onto any stimulation that it is receiving. If I hear a movie, I'm automatically interested in following it. If I hear music, I can't help but to listen to it (yes, hearing and listening are different).

And if I'm just in a dark room, with nothing on, I sit there and think. Just think. About my day, about future days, about past days, about days that never happened, days I wish had happened... Hell I'll remember some completely random event from 4 years ago, and replay it in my mind, evaluating what I said, what the other people said, and how I could have changed the outcome of the event by saying something different.

Really, I'm terrible at sleeping :(

Edit: To highlight this point, it's currently 4:13 am, and I have class in just under 4 hours.. yet here I am, posting on internet forums.
