I finally broke down and watched the new karate kid movie and when seeing how similar it was to the original dialogue I was waiting to hear someone say "sweep the leg" in Chinese... but that never happened. what remakes are you dissapointed with?

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They left out Willy's weird barrel roll thing, the songs, the creepy tunnel, the epic ceiling fan, and the bit at the end where he went all bipolar in a room full of half-furniture.

It was also directed by Tim Burton...

Has to be that horrible Planet of the Apes crap that came out. It sad when the low budget versions of the movie series that came out 30 years plus are better than the recent remake.

I have to second the Willy Wonka also. The original gene wilder version still rocks to this day.

Yeah, that one-dimensional aggresive villain monkey was the single worst Tim Burton character ever.

GAH! NINJA'D!

*sigh* Well then I'll say Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too.

EDIT: Oh wow, I completely forgot about Planet of the Apes. Yeah that really sucked too.

Pretty much this.
I was never a BIG Willy Wonka fan, but you take out "Oompa Loompa Doompity Dee" and you just made a shitty movie

I'll also go with a Tim Burton film but I'm going to say Alice in Wonderland.

I hate that film so much.

Italian Job. Never seen Burton's rape of Chocolate Factory, but it'd have to try pretty damn hard to be worse than that... Thing.
