I don't know if it's considered psychic but...I generally know when people are lying. Sometimes even if I'm reading a book I'll stop and think to myself, "He's lying."

I also have odd instances of Deja Vous. At the most random times, I'll stop and think to myself, "I've done this before..." Once it happened during a play (Sweeny Todd; brilliat play and I hope Johnny Depp doesn't f*** it up) another time while I was playing kickball, and another time while I was talking to my sister. I don't know what it is.

Also, I generally know who's on the phone when they call, but this can be attributed to my massive intellect and amazing guessing ability.

Evidently your amazing modesty was in your other jeans.

And I sometimes think "I wonder what so-and-so is doing today, and then bam, they call/text me. And I have the uncanny ability to know when my toast is about to pop from the toaster. I'll be in the other room, and then jus randomly get up, and as I walk into the kitchen the toaster pops. Either my toaster sense is tingling, or I subconsciously know the time it takes for my toast to be done. I prefer to think its the former.
And I also have those weird dreams where nothing really important goes on, but then days, weeks, hell even months down the line you're doing something and then something rolls into place and you know that you've dreamt this.
And once I was about to go to bed, and then I had this weird feeling that I should turn my computer on, and I did, and a friend had just logged into steam and we went and had one of the best TF2 games ever.
Theres some next-level shit going down that we still can't explain in the world. I have my own theories on "psychic" powers and the like, but I'll keep them to myself for now. Lets see where this thread goes..

Deja Vu happens all the time to me now. I see exactly what happened before, and exactly what I need to do. Stuff like this is happening more and more often, sometime more frequent when I pray.
recent studies have said that deja vu occurs cause you HAVE done it before, just in your sleep. the brain runs vr simulations in your sleep, safest place to kill yourself and test out theories without actual harm to you. hence the feeling of knowing exactly what to do and acting out of reflex instead of actual time wasting thought.

personally with psychic stuff i don't think most ppl are at all. silvia brown and a guy whom i'll only refer to as j.e. cause his nda made shotime's lawyers say "don't mention him", are total frauds and use a trick called cold reading. they are easy to fool and easy to get fooled by cause they prey on ppl who are upset.

i've had some messed up stuff happen but i don't think i'd chalk it up to psychic activity. maybe if we evolved more as a species we'd see something come out. but there's too much crap and not enough real stuff.

honestly for a good thing on psychic's watch the first episode of penn & teller's bullsh*t, it talks about psychics, there's a few they do on them, the best is the ventriloquist's dummy yelling at the medium using a crystal. they also do a funny experiment with oujia boards, most of them are psycoautnomic (sp?) reactions, meaning you are moving the object without your own knowledge, hence that "presence" ppl feel when using a oujia board

it's a lie everyone believes and accepts much like the one when you catch your parents in the act and your dad says "oh me and your mom were just moving some furniture last night" and you know it's a lie but you accept it as the truth cause that's better than the real truth.

The thing is, I never actually said I was psychic. I was just pointing out how the randomness of my mind closely resembles it. I do that a lot, but when I'm sleepy, anything's possible in my mind. XD

And on the topic of Deja Vous, what if we are all psychic, but we mostly just have premonitions of mundane things?
Just a thought for the sake of argument.

I have the unique psychic ability to hear the phone ringing about ten seconds before it's going to ring sometimes.
My computer sometimes reacts just instants before my cellphone rings. It kind of worries me.
Don't worry that happens to mine as well. And my stereo. I think it's just the signal inermefering with the electron beams of the whozamafidgits.
Haha, same here, my computer and my TV will make noises when something is going to happen with my friend's cellphone, whether it is someone about to call or someone sending a message.

Anyways, onto psychic. I sometimes hear someone's voice in the room in my head, on topic about what's going on, and for some reason I end up saying at or just before the same time they do.

I had a dream about Halo 2 before it came out (on that zanzibar map.) a few months into the game the same scenario happened. I probably just made the scenario subconsciously, but the deja vu hit me anyways.

...That's about it.

This one time, I had a deja vu last for 8 seconds. I think that's pretty good considering they're usually just fraction of a second things.
I was also able to tell I was getting Custom Robo for Christmas a few years back. I had vivid memories of it being on our carpet before I even played the game.

I get that mundane boring stuff de ja vu that i've already dreamed it (like I'd already been in a particular class at school - one I remember best because I think it was the first time to happen - been about 5 or 6 occassions now and I'm 22)

Sometimes it's years before it kicks in though.... sometimes sooner (like weeks or months).

It's just weird and unsettling more than me thinking im psychic. The common theme throughout is that I never remember the dream until the sense of de ja vue, which does leave me wondering if I've actually had these dreams... and any dreams I do remember have never occured.

I generally tend to predict someone's move in rock paper scissors but I've identified it as a pretty routine series of events that follows a pretty predictable chian of events. Either I'm a) a telepath b) good at math or c)Someone who challenges dullards to rock paper scissors.

Jannycats, you may be able to hear the phone charging a capacitor. Some older phones use them to power a ringer, and some people (usually young women, sometimes young men, very seldom old farts like me) actually can hear that very slight, very high pitched whine. The capacitors also made amusing toys in that you can charge them and leave them around for others to pick up and receive a surprising though harmless shock. Haven't seen a phone like that in a couple decades, though my first wife always knew when the phone was about to ring; she could hear it clearly enough to realize she was hearing it. Newer and cheaper phones usually use low-powered piezo buzzers IIRC.

Interesting thing about knowing when people are lying - my wife and I tend to react at the same time, and both say it's like the sentence or phrase is the wrong "color". Go figure. I personally don't think it's psychic powers though, just some minute change in tone that triggers intuition.

I've got two big ones. One was when I was young, and I dreamed of a perfectly ordinary school day before it happened. I thought it did happen, but it didn't. Everything was the exact same when I woke. The other was only a week ago, when I went to Switzerland. I'd had a dream, several weeks before in Canada, that showed some of my Friends and some people I never even knew existed before I went on the trip on a train, going down a mountain. I have no fucking clue how it happened, but one theory is that I am the only true being, you are all figments of my imagination, and I simply got the idea for the event from the random images in my dreams.

1: At the airport I saw this one lady buying her ticket. Voices in my head started screaming "she's sitting next to me!" I didn't know her, I could not possibly conclude that she was going to sit next to me of even be on the same flight but I just felt so convinced!

and I was right.

2: I was goint to look up Hypotenuse in the thick dictionary and fliped right to it

I have this precognitive ability to predict which episode of any show will play.
For example: Today I was thinking of the "Futurama" episode 'Brannigan Begins Again', wher Zap Brannigan and Kif Kroker were fired from their position at the Democratic Order of Planets (DOOP), and they have to work at Planet Express.
Check the show out, if it plays on Saturday, tonight, to see if I'm right.

I have deJa Vu all the time. Usually I will dream something and then weeks (maybe months later) It will happen to the letter.

Why are all these old threads getting brought back from the edge of oblivion?
