In all seriousness (not that that wasn't at least 2/3-serious) deja vu does happen a lot especially in lucid dreams, which makes me think there's some weight behind the VR-simulation idea. I guess I can wait for a thread more specifically *about* lucid dreams before getting into this.
As for personal experiences, I have http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random bookmarked on my computer so I can look stuff up quicker, and occasionally what I want to see pops up. As in, exact article, more than once. Jung calls it 'synchronicity' and anyone who links to that article from the link in the first sentence of this paragraph gets a cookie. A psychic cookie.
