Back in a time when I very rarely came by a new game and what I rented determined the course of the rest of that week, I chose a cute little game for Playstation 2: Herdy Gerdy. This is where I'd go into a long, in-depth analysis of how much I loathed that game if I had the time or patience, but instead I'm just going to go ahead and say this: I've played worse games, yes. But that one was probably the biggest disappointment, simply because I had no other games to fall back on.

I bash Culdecept Saga a lot on these forums but in reality I hate a couple of games even more. Colosseum: Road to Freedom was really repetitive, iffy, and, well, downright terrible. Farmville (it counts) sucks my friends' time and souls like a vampire. I'm glad I don't play.

While I respectfully disagree with you about Halo and Gears of War I must agree wholeheartedly with this. While it isn't my number one most disliked game I did have serious issues with a game that had enemies that could run at a hundred miles per hour and drop you in two hits and of which no matter how many rounds you poured into it you will always get killed before they even notice you are hitting them.
Yeah, I don't like games that give you instant death as a punishment for simple mistakes.

EDIT: Also must agree with you on Alone in the Dark, the developers should have realised that a lot of the ideas and innovations that had been put forward were never used previously because they were stupid ideas.

Hmmm... I'd say Too Human was the worst game i've played for quite some time.
You know, I didn't really find the game too bad. The environments were pretty and had a decent variety, ranging from old tombs to hi-tech cities to Hel itself, and the combat system at least tried to be original. The voice acting was a little weak in some places (especially the same few lines they'd spout in combat) and the story wasn't great, but the premise was at least fresh (and I though it was really cool). and the death scene. I admit, having the same thing happen repeatedly can get annoying, but it's really no different to any other death scene, except it places you in a better position on the next run through. It doesn't even happen that much if you know what you're doing. Also, I liked it because the little nordic tune they play is very soothing and nice. I didn't even mind dying that much because it meant I could hear it.

OT: That new Sonic All Star Racing game. It isn't even out and I hate it.

Might and Magic: Dark Messiah. I got it as part of a Steam sale Ubisoft package. Beyond Good & Evil and Far Cry make up for it, but I still feel I got screwed.

Chaos Legion...just terrible. You can't run when you summon a legion? What, do you require so much energy that it weakens your attacking and running speeds? Bull Fucking Shit.

The Halo series as a whole. The fact that anyone thought the first game needed a sequel, let alone SPIN-OFF sequels, makes me facepalm so hard.
You're not alone.

I wonder how long until someone mentions 'That Game' either defending it or offending it. Either way, 'That Game' will end up being mentioned and will derail this thread :(
HALO SUCKS ASS, FANBOYS SUCK IT!!

Is that the game you were talking about? :p
Yes, edit your post quickly damn it or all hell will break loose!

Nevermind, it's happened, batten down the hatches and prepare for flame war lunacy.

There arn't very many games that i've outright hated; meaning games that i stuck with until the end and flat out didn't like.

Probably the first halo. I thought it was extremely overrated, and i felt it didn't deserve much praise. it didn't bring anything new to the table, and i thought it was a pretty big disappointment overall. I did like three though. not much had changed, and it was bland as ever, but i think it was forced down my throat by my friends enough until i was forced to like it.
Halo a thousand times over. Gentlemen, light your torches! Also, Too Human is like Halo's little retarded hunchback sidekick who understands the concept of being a shitty game but just can't quite get the hang of it.

And if I wanted to pick on something just for being popular, I'd have said Guitar Hero.

Bioshock, because it didn't live up to the hype. Yahtzee had it right with his review.
Even though he later retracted that opinion? It's very derivative, basically being System Shock 2 with new graphics and Atlas Shrugged for a storyline, but it's still a good game. If you didn't get into the backstory, wasn't fighting the splicers fun? Well, for the first 2/3 of the game anyway. There is a big dropoff in entertainment after Fort Frolic's done with.

Where did he retract the statement? In a review?

Someone mentioned Lost Planet. I agree that of the current gen, that was the worst PS3 game I got by far. Horrible controls (and I'm quite forgiving), stupid story, and for someone who hates timed missions, the very concept was a chore.
