So I was wondering if I could get people to jump in this thread and release tension or talk about their job.

I'm a pizza delivery guy, nuff said. Job is not too bad, good pay if I get tips, and pretty nice people to meet / work with.

Pizza delivery was the best job I've ever had. My place closed down though and now I have a new job at a pizza place that doesn't deliver. Shit sucks. I miss driving around and getting paid to do it.

I'm a student. Not much to it, really

I worked as a Filing Clerk for a law office, for 15 months before, however. That was fun. Good times, good times.

well im currently working as a gas jockey for a boss who has owned the place for a slightly shorter time then i have been working there and apart from technically working there longer than everybody other than the other gas jockey and being expected to do 90% of the work i really dont have much of a problem with the job

i could allthough get a job in industry paying anywhere from $5 to $10 more per hour but my over all lack of direction in life( i want to go to college but i have no idea what for) and lack of caring is keeping me with it for now

Was a student in a writing course, now writing on the side and looking for employment. Looks like I'll be joining this fast food industry quickly. Sigh.

Been working for about a month in the flooring trade, its not too bad. Just wish I was able to be taught more stuff sooner. Spent the last 3 weeks doing nothing but scraping paint off of concrete, sweeping, and hammering nails. Somewhat boring and repetitive but the crew I work with is awesome which makes it all better.

Worst thing really though is that i'm away from my girlfriend a lot more than I would like to be at the moment. Although it's a slight inconvenience because it's only a 2 and a half hour drive to see her for a weekend

Graphic designer at a signmaking bureau. I also oversee all the practical stuff that's involved in realising said designs; So I'm out in the field a lot, too. I'm also a certified Graficast Car-wrap specialist, which comes in handy when it comes to realising company vehicles.

This means I spend my days designing anything other companies can use to present themselves; cars, clothing, banners, flags, you name it. The fun part about my job is that it's really great to be involved in the entire process, from design to final product. Designing some digital logo is much more satisfying when you can put it on a dozen of actual cars afterwards.

The downside of my work is that I work for a Chinese psychopath.

Since about July I've been working at Target, stocking in the early morning 2 to 3 times a week. Some weeks they'll have me cashier but it's only one day out of the week. Since then I've had to move so I'm in the middle of a transfer which will see me moved from early morning to, overnight stocking which should provide me with more hours and possibly more days with those increased hours. Also, working nights gives a small monetary bonus so, I may be getting more an hour (still more than likely going to be less than 10/hr but an increase is an increase)

It's pretty easy work but it's much easier and, more enjoyable when the store is still closed and the customers are gone. It isn't really a career but it's good for now. I'm nearly 24 and still have no idea what kind of actual career I would want...kind of sad but it is what it is.

Lawyer. Just started - I do construction litigation. I actually really enjoy it. The pay is okay, not great (and, no, I am not greedy, the world just changed in 2008 and new attorneys like me don't all get paid all that much anymore - or get jobs for that matter).

A lot of the work is pretty technical, but it is pretty thrilling when you outmaneuver opposing counsel or your client shows up on the front page of the paper.

Student, and java developer.
Im having a really hard time recently because for a school project i have do to some socket/networking code, which is going to suck out 2 weeks of my life before i hit my face into the glass door that is the generalized concept of socket networking because after the glass door has assaulted my face I will finally realise how easy it is.

Individual results with the magical glass door of socket networking may vary.

I'm unemployed; was doing a Admin traineeship about a year ago but that fell through due to faults on my end and the company which provided it. Currently doing a course on being a Radio Presenter, but due to some events I'm contemplating asking for my money back. Life REALLY sucks right now, but I guess I have it better than some.

I'm a student as well. Just got started on my 'Master of Education' studies, and I'm very much looking forward to teaching English and Geography in school.
Luckily I have some financial backing from home, so I don't need a part-time job to keep me afloat. I'm not swimming in cash here, but I'd say life's still pretty good right now.

Forced gap year.

I entered my 2nd year of college feeling suicidally depressed (as opposed to just depressed as I have been for the previous 2 years) and am now on anti-depressants having therapy etc etc.

Unemployed librarian, collecting EI (Unemployment), job hunting, and doing some tutoring on the side. Apparently I got lucky, as the Korean community here is desperate for more tutors so I may have a ton of people lining up at my door soon. >.>
