The ability to turn myself into a being made of pure energy so I could travel through anything electric including computers and power lines and learn all sorts of secrets. Also being able to electrocute my enemies would be awesome.
i know its cheating, but if i could have anything, i would be able to shift into the fourth dimension, time. while there i could do whatever i want and time would be stopped around me, when i shifted back into the third dimension and time would resume, id be in whatever place it was when i left(even if its not where it started), i could steal your slushy and make a book fall on your head. its like hyper advanced teleportation. but if i cant have that id like to create portals by blinking. and if i cant have that either than id like to spit lasers and fireworks.

Yeah, you know how that was in Unforgotten Realms? Kind of like that. I am exactly what you expect to see, and ultimately acceptable no matter where I go. Nobody will ever know that I am a different race or even species, so even animals will be like "Ho yeah! This boy's on MY side!" and be all bygones and shit. Imagine walking into the African Savannah, the Amazon Basin, or even Los Angelas...and NOBODY bothers you EVER, because you look the part and seem alright.
Of course, I still get to do whatever the hell to anyone else, so yeah.
(Oh, and for those of you keeping score on what kind of ability this is, don't worry about it being reality-warping, time-based, or somehow all mental. It's just an optical illusion...)

The power to absorb matter. It isn't too over the top, but effective enough to be a useful superhero.
unless they saw a path then acted on it instantaneously, you see your path then go for it without seeing what you are doing, its too fast for you. its still an awesome power, but unless you had checked everything you were about to do thouroughly then you'd be fethed.
it would make for an interesting character, super fast, probably jumpy as a cafein feuled squirrel, but at the same time concentrating on one thing and really cautious.
