I'd like to be able to go without ever needing sleep. I'd never go for more than a few days though. That's when the madness sets in... That delicious madness...

Or flight. I would love to fly. I'd be happy to have either one.

The ability to understand and be able to speak any language BUT (to make it awesome) this would include animals and any computing languages and codes.

I'd pick Reality Manipulation and then I'd use it to change the rules of this thread, allowing me to pick it.

The ability to change my appearance.

I guess that is "reality manipulation", but I think that this is probably ok because it only would affect me personally and not others. Also, considering how I would use it, it would really be a serious "bend".

Probably teleportation or precognition.

I could be really jammy and say run really fast, because if I could run the speed of light I could break your limitations as this is not directly time control or reality manipulation but would allow me to time travel.
Eh, I suppose that isn't cheating. I mostly just made this cause I got tired of everyone picking the same three over and over again so they'd be invincible. With super-speed, at least I've got the chance to trip you or something.
id either pick flying (maybe super speed if i could run fast enough to basically fly or at least glide) or i would pick the pre cognition (whats the name of the movie with nicholas cage and he can do this? if i could do it like that but hopefully i could control it somewhat thatd be awesome)

Being able to configure the molecules of my own body at will. That's pretty much it.

The ability to create localised transdimensional portals of varying sizes to anywhere I want, as long as I have been there or seen it at one point. The difference between this and teleportation being that I can create the portal and other people can use it, without me having to go through it.

I can then use my power to become rich, by either robbing a bank or by offering to instantly transport various rich and influential people to wherever they need to go... for a price.

The ability to know all truths

Right, most of you who have picked your powers probably haven't considered how people would react when they see your powers. Along with that the government would probably want to test on you or see make sure you don't become a threat

Now I picked the ability to know all truths, this is different from knowing everything. To know everything, you would have so much useless information, your brain would clog up from a mixture of truth and false information. To know all truths, I could easily hide the power, I could do pretty much anything and my brain wouldn't overload.

For example, there is a really pretty girl I like. Now since I know statistically what she wants me to say, I can say it with confidence knowing it will be right and she will sleep with me. I will also be able to make machines, become a CEO of a company and forward humanity enormously (if I choose to)

Also the I could work out how to manipulate matter so fuck you OP :p

OP: My power? Immortality- whether by consciousness-transferrals to my reincarnated body, or ordinary lack of aging- is the power I've wanted since I first realised that death was inevitable, way back in Year 1.
We spend so much time being afraid of death that we forget the one, overwhelming benefit death offers every species: cutting short suffering. Obviously when we talk about immortality we're picturing always being young and healthy, not laying in a bed suffering from lung cancer forever and ever.

But it's a dangerous world out there, and any number of freak accidents could get you stuck somewhere, with no escape, for the rest of time.

Say an earthquake strikes the building that you're in, and it collapses while you're in the basement parking garage. You're pinned under a million tons of concrete and drywall. All you can do is wait for rescue. Only don't count on being rescued, because the people in charge of doing that tend to give up when shit gets too hard to dig through and they've pulled enough people out to say, "We tried."

The only hope you might have is that when they build on the newly vacant spot a decade later, they might discover you along with other dead bodies while moving the rubble. But if the city of Savannah is any indication, people find it easier to just build on top of all the corpses instead of moving them somewhere else.

OK, but really what are the odds you'll be caught in an earthquake (or any other disaster of that nature)? Well, if you live forever, the odds are pretty much 100 percent. Unless the world ends before it has a chance to happen. So now instead of getting trapped in a building, you have to worry about being the lone survivor of a nuclear war, or a giant meteor strike, or another Ice Age, or collision with another planet, or the sun dying.

Even if you make it out unscathed, you're now alone. You'll be forced to live out your life slowly going crazy like a less awesome Will Smith without any zombies to shoot. You won't even have the dog.

And that's assuming the Earth stays intact. A comet could come smashing into the planet like the Kool-Aid Man and send you hurtling through infinite space. Best case scenario is you only float through the void for a few decades before you crash on Mars. At that point you're basically passing the time until intelligent life evolves there. You're going to get really good at making sand castles.

Personally I'd like the ability to check the outcomes of choices beforehand, or at least a huge sign that pops up with a mental saying "DON'T DO THAT!" when I'm about to decide.
To be honest, that actually sounds good to me. I relish the thought of an eternal, lonely existance. The only thing on that list that did worry me was the memory thing, so I guess I'd have to include the ability to store memories somewhere external to myself.

Either telekinesis or the ability to control electricity.

or if it doesn't count as mind control, I would like to do what they do in inception but without the machine. that would be awesome!

Seeing as you bar me from my beloved telekinesis, I shall go to the other end of the spectrum and say enhanced physical ablity. I don't mean super strength. I'm mean jumping up to twice my height, and running across wires and such without a thought.

Shape-shifting! That way I could do a number of cool things.
a) By changing myself on genetic level I may be able to make myself into whatever sex (or sexual orientation I want (hurray for experiential empathy))
b) I could change to a younger body of myself, even going so far as to shape-shift my useless memories out to avoid memory overload, or change my mind to a new one but with all my important memories, tendencies, etc (so my automatic muscular response section wouldn't decay over hundreds of years)
c)I could finally experience what it's like to be an animal (obviously using my ability to retain my humanity in a 'experiences wolf-i-ness, can exert absolute control over body and ability, yet does not impede upon the wolf instincts unless it wants to)
d) change into something that excretes a virus that either gives someone else my ability or changes them to whatever I wanted the virus to change them to)

So yeah, it gives the good kind of immortality where you aren't forced to live forever, you can choose your age and what-not, you don't have to abandon the people you love and you don't get the decaying mental or physical state that would occur from prolonged periods of life. Also, wolves.
