Team fortress 2. Seriously, I can't stop.
Ever.
Well right now, I'm not because I'm doing exams, but it'll be the first thing I'll play when I have the chance, and I just bought a new game.
Tf2 so good... *drools*
Goddamn, seriously. Sometimes I have to make myself take breaks from TF2 just so I don't get behind in my gaming.

(more behind that is. I mean, as a working man with a kid my time is pretty limited. Couple that with Steam sales and...yea.)

My WOW used to be WOW when off uni I used to play constantly every summer. I realised it was seriously hindering my time and my passion of critiquing but most importantly playing console games. I literally grew up playing games and its almost like a lifeblood for me as it is so enjoyable. When I realised I had a back burner of 20 games and Reach was coming, it is difficult to explain but I think my defences kicked in and immediately hated WOW. To me it became the opposite to a game so I kicked it to the curb.

I love console gaming and PC actually its how me and all my close friends interact and talk about other things being comic books but when something is so visceral you come notorious for it. However I find it humbling that people seek me out to help them with hard achievements and recommendations for games.

I guess in gaming especially theres your WOW and Anti WOW. I would really like to know what console gamers especially ex mmoers who are console gamers view games like WOW. However KOTOR looks bloody awesome I think because bioware have said it is based on plot and evolution.

Play WoW but not too Addicted Only play when my Girlfriend or friends wanna do something on there.

I've noticed mostly with WoW people don't get too addicted to the GAME but the People who play it.

My current "WoW" is SC2 MW2 and Earthbound/Secret of Mana/Secret of evermore.

I love my SNES.

Not played WoW yself, but two of my friends have and they can testify to it's addictive qualities. My group of chums planned a massive night out on the town, and about half way through they said "Right we're off home now, it's a double xp weekend" and off they went!

Mine is rotating between Final Fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX AND X, I do one a year in sequential order, never get tired of them!

My real life addiction is Pear Kopparberg and... nah, not gonna tell you the other ones!

Me too. I've got over 600 hours, and thats not counting time spent at LAN centers with friends, or the PS3 version.

And I play WoW, but it's more of a social thing than an addiction.

Mass Effect 2. I've been playing it for almost 2 months straight now, and they keep bloody making DLC, and I still haven't even played the Soldier yet or beaten Overlord!

They just released Lair of the Shadow Broker today :(

*cries*
I really hope you're playing on the hardest difficulty if it's taking that long...
I am playing on Insanity yes. I didn't mean to imply I haven't beaten it (I'm on my 5th playthrough actually), just that I can't put it down :-D

I also downloaded and beat Lair of the Shadow Broker last night, which was AMAZING, but still haven't gotten around to Overlord... lol.
good to know shadow brokers good but you realy need to play overlord the ending to that DLC almost made me cry and proved to my mother that games are an art.

Restaurant City. Yes, I know I deserve a bitching-out for mentioning a Facebook game but I've been playing that sucker for over a year now.

Gaming-wise it'd have to be the Resident Evil games.
Non-gaming it's Mountain Dew. Best. Soda. Ever. ^_^

I dont know where to begin.
I guess it was APB before the servers went down.
I dont care what anyone says, the customization made the entire crappy package worth it.
I spent atleast 70 hours in the social ((custimization)) district alone!
Thats saying something.

Well I'm not the most original with my responses, so I'll state I used to play World of Warcraft as well, quite eagerly. But I never really played it to get the penultimate ubergear and slaughter end-raid bosses in under a minute. I found a nice guild fairly early on when I was just starting, and these people became my friends. I ran an occasional dungeon with them and whatnot, and even a raid or two, but it was knowing those kind people that kept me coming back.

It's been a while since I stopped playing though. I'll probably start again with Cataclysm, just to see what's new. Of course if Blizzard implemented some sort of solo mode for raids and dungeons, with no true gear rewards, simply to experience the story, I might be tempted to play even longer...

Yeah, I know it will never happen.

Anyway, off that subject. Can I use The Escapist as my other example? That, and games with a heavy focus on user-created content, that is, if the tools provided are worth looking at.

Morrowind on the PC.
With mods.

Mmmm.
you gotta upgrade with some oblivion
My comp can't handle Oblivion on PC :/
am I the only one who thinks the specs for Oblivion are low? is it just because I've been spoiled with top of the line equipment since 1997 or are they low?
They are pretty low by todays standards but... i would say the average 600 dollar gaming comp could run Oblivion max graphics...
