I like the idea of the Portal gun = infinite energy or a lucrative smuggling or military career.

North Korea launch a missile? Mr. Kim taken out the next day. Plus for every ransom by the Somali pirates I could offer recovery for less than half their ransom - a few surprise portal attacks and the piracy would end. That may be more convenient with some of the teleportation gimmicks in some video games.

Really though the item that makes the most sense to buy would be the save sphere (in whichever incarnation you wish). Have a bad day? Reset. Missed the lottery? Reset. Try to bum rush a world leader and become a bullet ridden ragdoll? Reset. You would always have a good day and be able to explore whichever possibilities ya wanted.

Even better - buy the savesphere and become a quantum physicist. (bad uncertainty principle joke here)
You wouldn't be able to access your file though. RL has no menu.
I'd make sure to get the IRL mod version then. It doesn't need a savefile it just goes back to where you last saved if you die or reset. Seeing that this is hypothetical I'd assume things would work as intended in our mental exercise.
You must remember that the Internet is Serious Business and there is no room for humor anywhere.

Anyways, this mod of yours intrests me, where can I fand the tools to get started, because I want tomorrow to start of with a chinchilla rugby game.

Hmmm one version of the mod involves tampering with the hard/wetware of the user- the user side of the user interface as it were- usually sufficient biochemical tampering would allow one to play whatever game they wanted to perceive themselves playing irl.

chinchilla rugby - hmmm could do that without mods if ya had the money - PETA would grief the game though.
That's why you need the mods, the chinchillas would be doing it of their own free will and PETA would have to let it continue. Pus, you wouldn't need to spend all the money on traning them.

Most things from Oblivion: Come on, when would a chameleon ring NOT be useful :p

Also, a Daedric set of armour would look cool in my living room...

How about the turrets from Portal? Station them at the front door and if someone tries to break in... there you are. *Bullet noises*. Situation over. And then you can just push them over to deactivate it. It's genius

Auto-life from Final Fantasy.

...What else do you need?

And to whomever mentioned the Portal gun: While the Portal gun IS awesome, keep in mind you're not in the game, and gravity DOES hurt... A shitload.
