Hmm, that actually looks incredibly useful. Much more useful than a dedicated floodgate. Are they being added in 1.6?Tharwen said:SNIP

I don't think they're scheduled yet, but Notch has said they're planning to add them and the entire Minecraft forum seems to have taken it for granted that they're going to get added.Aeriath said:Hmm, that actually looks incredibly useful. Oh right, thanks for letting me know. I'm not as up-to-date with Minecraft news/the forums as I have been in the past.Tharwen said:I don't think they're scheduled yet, but Notch has said they're planning to add them and the entire Minecraft forum seems to have taken it for granted that they're going to get added.Aeriath said:Hmm, that actually looks incredibly useful. That's the best case for a monster truck in Minecraft that I've ever heard.TestECull said:A monster truck.
Seriously, it would be perfect. Serious players could craft it and the fuel used(Since they burn alcohol, simply throw some sugar cane in the smelting furnace. It's close enough for Minecraft!) and use it to explore vast areas quickly, safely travel at night(Aside from creepers I 'spose, but if they can catch it...), and transport large amounts of gear. Game balance is preserved since it's going to take a LOT of iron ore to build it, and it's voracious appetite means you're going to need a large-scale sugar cane farm to feed it for a meaningful amount of time. Non-serious players such as myself could spawn it via their favorite inventory editor and go flatten some damn zombies, do wheelies and donuts, jump it off cliffs and other such shenanigans. Both camps get some sort of use out of it!
Oh, and why a monster truck? Well, when was the last time you saw a normal truck that could climb a 1 meter tall wall?
Right then, monster truck it is!

Adding ICs would ruin the fun in using redstone, if you ask me. :/MindBullets said:Guns. Shields to go with swords. Portable torches, or some sort of lantern. Single-block logic gates for redstone circuits so you don't have to faff about with building your own.
About all can think of at the moment.
Don't forget ziplines! possibly ships too!2xDouble said:Rope and Pulley systems. I need some way to make elevators and drawbridges...
If you're into mods, check out Finite Liquid. It's gotta buncha cool water stuff.N3vans said:A Random Reader said:Floodgates. They're doors that allow water/lava to go through them.Aeriath said:I'd love to see some sort of water control system, like floodgates. Or anything else that makes redstone more useful and awesome.Or even just a water pump? For a more hidden way of getting water around. I'd love a mountain-top fort with a moat.baconsarnie said:Water gates, so many possibilities.
