1. Thin Lizzy, Mastodon, Anthrax, Metallica, Streetlight Manifesto and Nirvana. Not necessarily in that order, but Thin Lizzy on top.

2. Thin Lizzy were (and the current reformed lineup is pretty good) amazing, the guitars were great, the drums were amazing, Phil Lynott was a great singer and bassist. I love the way that traditional Irish folk is mixed into gritty 70s rock, I love Phil as a frontman and as a lyricist. I grew up listening to albums like Jailbreak, it's a part of my childhood.

3. My favourite song is the acoustic version of Safe Home, by Anthrax. I don't have a permanent favourite, but right now I love this:
It's such a brilliant surprise, I always loved Anthrax but I never thought they could do this sort of thing.

At the moment I'm also listening to 'All At Once' by Jack Johnson a lot. Just because it's such a relaxing song, and because a load of crap keeps happening to me right now I like the lyrics a lot. Jack Johnson writes some great stuff that just cheers me up.

4. I listen to a lot of rock and metal, but also punk, blues, ska and reggae. I really just like rock and heavy music, but I really began to love ska and other things when I started learning it as a bassist or a guitarist.

Your line of questioning seems heavily predicated on picking out a singular favourite which is not something I agree with across any medium, I like different things for different reasons. I listen to all kinds of genres, though most of what I'm into consists of Rock and Metal and a fair percentage of that is Progressive. I really like songs that can truly take you on a journey, that explore and blend numerous genres and flowing seemlessly between them to crate a cohesive and enriching experience. So I guess while I'll listen to basically any genre, I'm more inclined towards Progressive music which I suppose will come as no suprise to anyone who recognises my avatar. :)

You, sir, are awesome.

OT:

1. A very hard question, as I listen to classic rock and there are so many great bands.
I'll have to go with a list if that's ok, if not, just go with the first one- Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Journey, Credence Clearwater Revival, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, Boston, and Tom Petty (with or without the Heartbreakers) to name a few.

2. Nearly all classic rock bands, especially Led Zeppelin, brought so much more into their music than anything modern. A cliche way of saying it is that their music had soul, there was feeling behind it, it wasn't just meant to get the most hits.

3. Once again hard to say. But I've always had a special spot for "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones.

4. Like I said in #1, classic rock.

5. Also like I said in #2 (I seem to have gotten ahead of myself) modern music just isn't the same, it's all about making money, and the songs are all just copy/paste (in my opinion) of partying, doing drugs, or some failed relationship.

EDIT: Completely forgot about Queen, no clue how I managed that. Queen FTW!
I can't concur more.
Although, I would add Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix.

OT:

1. I listen to classic rock.

2. I'll listen to: Queen, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, CCR, Simon and Garfunkel, Rush, Boston, and a lot more.

3. All Along the Watchtower would have to be my favorite song.

4. Have to go with classic rock.

5. It's actually poetic and has meaning.

Wow, it seems I missed a few more. While I'm at it let me add Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd and Aerosmith.

EDIT: Also Dire Straits

Yeah. This is gonna be tough becuase I just listen to what I think sounds good. Not a specific band or genre.
but here goes nothing.

Favorite Band
Crush 40

Why?
because their music creates a great deal of atmosphere as it is mostly music used for Games but often being full on songs.

Favorite Song
"What I'm Made Of" by Crush 40

What genre do I listen to?
Mostly rock/metal sort of area.

Why?
Because the use of powerful guitar alongside other instruments creates a lot of power behind the music. I like music that would fit well with a story.

This is not definitive seeing as how my music taste changes quickly.

If it helps I have some music playlist you could look at.
One for Crush 40

One for all my other music

1) Disturbed

2) I like the songs

3) indestructible

4) metal and rock

5) not a fan of a lot of stuff, especially pop, so i stick with what i like, metal tends to be less mass producted and naff (not even gonna start listing pop stars for that)

1. SO MANY I CAN'T COUNT.

2. I just listen to whatever makes me feel good. Which happens to stray towards Thrash metal, Alt metal, Alternative, Electronic Punk, and Punk.

3. Currently? New Disease by Spineshank.

<youtube=A-TO-L1Escc&ob=av2e>

4. Alt Metal, Alternative, Thrash Metal, Electronic Punk, and Punk.

5. These kinds of genres make me feel good inside. Most songs I listen to in those genres perfectly display how I feel at times.

1. Daft Punk

2. Their music appeal to me (it's hard to explain why, they're just awesome)

3. Stardust- Musice sound better with you.

4. Dance (House) and anime and video game soundtrack.

5. Dance has good beats to it which uplift my moods however I no longer up to date with the dance music world (so this is where anime and video game come in since I watch recent animes).

1. What's your favorite band/artist?
- Radiohead

2. Why are they {b]your*{/b] favorite?
Because they are diverse with their music and are constantly changing and yet still create beautiful, moving music.

3. What's your favorite song?
I don't really have one favourite song really but here are a few:

4. What genre/s do you tend to listen to most often?
Rock
Prog Rock
Electronica

5. And why?
Its just generally what I find most appealing and relaxing to listen to instead of the drivel on the radio these days. It also talks about actual issues within lyrics of songs and ambient electronica can be quite relaxing to listen to.
