I can see myself as being one of those Idiot NPC's. You know the ones that are a bit too eager to fight and keep blocking your shots? I think that's how I'd translate into a game world. Completley useless.

I'd be the hard to get on your team NPC, the one that is an absolute must have in combat, just put me in front with a decent weapon, then stand back watch the mayhem and start counting dead baddies. To get me on your team you need to either have a certain very rare item in your inventory, have an outrageously high reputation with some obscure faction or you need to flawlessly navigate 20 lines of 5 multiple choice dialog where the choices vary by maybe 2-4 words!

Or I'd be that disgruntled player hating NPC, that gives you one final shitty quest that takes you to 5 far away areas that you have otherwise completely explored and completed... one of those "for obsessive completionists only"

I would be that one NPC that you should NEVER, EVER mess with unless you want to die. The one that can basically look at you and you'd die.

i would be that one NPC which you get at the end of a long, tiresome epic quest you just completed which says:

"I'm sorry, this isn't what i was looking for... but it will help us find what we are really looking for! come back when you are stronger (in 5 levels) for the next step!"

Well these ideas came to me after reading all your posts so props to you!

MGS Soldier - "!" "What was that? "Huh?" "?"

Assassin's Creed - One of the jug carrying ladies that always gets in your way while trying to escape a dozen guards.

Dungeon Master for D&D - 1st, being the narrator to everything that *is* d&d. 2. the Bar tender, which in my campaign is near invincible and a smart ass. kinda like that bar tender on the venture brothers who makes fun of Brock Samson's Mollet. (while Brocks license to kill was revoked.)

A Vet Sniper in Company of Heroes. I'd be stationed by myself behind enemy lines near a capture point. A ***** to spot/stop and i'll retreat w/enough time to make it home :p.

One of those monsterous sized Statue like NPC's that don't move/talk in the Mortuary.

A random soldier in the imperial guard in dawn of war. They are the most murdered NPCs in any game ever. Pretty much just running emperor-worshipping meat shields to draw fire away from the important bits of the army unless well used.

I hope I'd be well used.

Either Noober from BG, the friendly NPC's that get in your way just as you're about to shoot someone, or one of the fast zombies from HL2; scary as hell when they're leaping all over the place (especially combined with other enemies, or if you're next to some barrels)

That person in any final fantasy that if you talk to three times, I'll give you something helpful. Maybe.

I would be that NPC that is not at all important in till, The player does something horribly wrong and can only be fix by me. I will also never be in the same place twice. I would only exists in huge sand box games like Oblivion and hang out in random ruins, careful you may accidentally kill me on a random quest.
