What kind of Pokemon trainer are YOU?

Kind of a weird question (maybe) but...

I have been told and firmly believe that there are 3 kinds of Pokemon trainers: Bezerkers (who raise one Pokemon so high that they can breeze through anything without bothering with another Pokemon), purists (who gotta catch 'em all and train likewise), and A Team players (who have a team of special Pokemon that they've been training from the beginning).

I have been a purist trainer since I was handed Pokemon red all those years ago, and while it usually means I'm under leveled by the time I reach the Elite 4 I can generally get through the game without much difficulty. My brother is a Bezerker, breezing through the game without regard for type advantage only leveling.) Now, strangest of all, all the bezerkers I talk to pick the fire starter. I have always chosen the water starter.

So what kind of trainer are you and what starter do you choose?

A Team for sure. XD I will catch (or attempt to) any pokemon I might not have, but I have a specialized team from the start that I'll swap out given I raise a different one that has attacks that I could use. Definitely not strategic either ... I raise them so they can pummel the opposition in as few moves as possible. XD

Though when I was playing in the tag-battles with the NPCs you've met along the way at the battle tower, my two pokemon got knocked out and it was just my NPC's second choice pokemon and the opposition's last one, and they only had a defence/speed boosting move respectively and it went on for like 2 hours where they could only do that before someone got the bright idea to use a poison berry. XD

LONGEST BATTLE EVER. D:

I have a legit dex of 483.
I have 25 lvl 100 EV trained pokemon.
I have teams that are completely varied in ability, type and moves.

I think I count as all 3.

Berzerker one pokemon, then once hits quite high, then level another one, then another one, then I've probably beaten the game by this point.

I was a mix of zerker/a-team I had 2 Pimped up poke and then a few others that were levelled but not to the extreme but used for strategically purposes. (I started off with a Squirtle, and used that and my Joltron (I think it was called that? (Evee on lightning steroids)).

Berzerker, too. I don't care for all of those brats, I just get one strong one to kill everything with it. And one more, just in case I meet something Super Effective against mine.

I am a berzerker until my first pokemon is at Lv100. After that, I become a purist and attempt to catch and evolve every pokemon on that particular cartridge. Then I find a friend (or buy the corresponding cartridge) and trade for the ones I am still missing. After that, I re-catch all the pokemon for my A-team and re-train them (excluding my starter which is always part of my A-team).

I evolve as a trainer if you'll excuse my pun.

I usually go through a Pokemon game with less than thirty Pokemon in my box, twenty-four of them I never use. I'm definately a team player, but my Pokemon are still always pretty low-leveled... (in the fifties at the highest when I get to the Elite Four.) I make it through really easily though, due to type advantage. I can manage to take down a Beserker's team by relying on move sets. ;D

Grass starter, all the way!

Hm, mix between A-Team and Bezerker. I do have one Pokemon which is definitely stronger than the others, but I also have one or two backups with a different type and moveset who are still of significantly higher level than the rest of my Pokemon.

I'm a cross between a purist and an A-team trainer. Not all of my Pokemon are from the beginning, I have a special team that can handle any element, but I usually level them much higher than whoever I am playing against.

I guess I'm an A-Team player. I hunt down my favourites and raise them. I like to have all the Pokemon I eventually use for the E4 on my team very early on so they get plenty of training.

I must try a one Pokemon run sometime, I saw one guy who did a complete run of Pokemon Silver (complete as in up to the final trainer on Mt Silver) with only a Pidgey.

Oh and the fire starter, always, no exception.

You are my Poke-hero. I don't have that kind of patience.

I'm a beginner pokemon player. I played the red version all those years ago and picked up a few others a long the way, but never really stuck it out for the long haul. Been thinking about getting the new one, but not sure yet.

Anyways, what time of pokemon trainer am I when I play? The Berserker with backup. I usually take one pokemon and get him higher than everything by far and have one other pokemon who is higher than the rest, but not as close to him. The backup is usually Psyduck just because I love that damn pokemon. The main one is usually whoever I started with though.

Although I always attempt to fill the entire Pokédex, I'm an A team trainer by these definitions, to the point that if something I want in my team is not readily available for a very long time, I will have vacant spots in my party, occasionally occupied either by an HM slave or something I just caught.

But the teams are different each time around...right now I'm working on a team of dark-types, so we'll see how that goes.

I'm an A-Teamer however i will have one pokemon who is far out leveled the rest.
Usually that one will sub in and be the meat shield for my team & impending doom for the opponent.
All in the name of glorious shared EXP.

Kind of a purist. I don't train ALL of them, but I do make a specific team for each gym.

I think I'd count as a Berzerker/A-Team. In Red, I trained my Charmander as high as possible, and blew through EVERYTHING. In Diamond, I'm trying to get all my guys to Level 40. While on Victory Road. My highest-level guy is a Level 51 Infernape. The rest are around Level 37.

I have a Level 100 Garchomp (which I got in a trade from a kind trainer), as well as the Mirage Legendaries (Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf) and, of course, Dialga.
