Berserker/Purist. Nothing gets in the way of my Tyranitar. I'm using him to level my complete pokedex of pokemon.

I'm the "Wife-a-chu, I choose YOU!" type of Pokemon trainer. As in, I get the games for her because she's a Pokemaniac then I go back to playing Advance Wars.

I am a berzerker, but I do like to raise all my pokemon to monstrous levels.
In red/blue I picked Bulbasaur, in Gold/Silver Totodile, Ruby/Sapphire I picked Treeko, and in Pearl/Diamond I picked Piplup. I guess I don't fit the mold really

I'm a mix between a purist and a A-team player. I catch em all, train them, and then make special squads. Weirdly though I start out with the fire pokemon.

berzerker/purist, after i'm done raising and catching all the ones i can i stick to a really powerfull one to dominate with. for example, in diamond after catching all the pokes in that game, i used AR to get to where arceus was and trained it normally, (i only cheat to get the pokemon, but cheating is still cheating) i like it 'cause of the plates, donimate in any type.

I am probably a mix between a purist and an A team type player. I like to catch all the different types I can find, but I'll usually pick a handful (like 7-8) that I'll train regularly, at least when I start the game.

When it comes to the starters I choose, well, that is somewhat complex:

Generation I: Any of the three are superb. I really like every starter of this generation. I've picked somewhat evenly.
Generation II: Cyndaquil or Totodile.
Generation III: Torchic or Treecko
Generation IV: I haven't played those yet, but from what I've read, Turtwig

One who trains and breeds Uber-Scythers to rape any Pokemon (awesome Speed, Attack, and SP. Def.)

Screw all of these new retarded Pokemon, Nintendo must be running out of ideas for these things >_>
The original 151 and the ones from Gold/Silver are good enough for me.

Also, Squirtle is the best starter of all time.
Oh, and it was fun to make a max stat level 100 Mudkip that knew explosion.

On diamond, I'm now tending toward a purist. Before that I was playing more A-Team than anything.

On ruby, I'm playing as a berserker. This play through I've set myself the challenge of using a team of zigzagoons/linoone for the entire game (at least where possible). After the first Gym my team is at level 20 and I have more high level items than I know what to do with (Which is why I picked zigzagoons, the pickup ability is horribly broken in Ruby and Sapphire and you can find zigzagoons quite easily around Oldale Town at level 2-4)

I start as a Berserker with my starter Pokemon and then transition into an A Team once I've gotten past about half of the gyms.

A man after my own style lol

I use this tactic because you always have the heavyweight you started with to fall back on....

I'm a Team playing purist. I will catch everyone and put them into teams that I use when I am feeling a certain way.

Hmmm. I guess that kinda makes me a Team Berserk as well.

I think I'd be a mix of Purist and A-Team. I do collect all the Pokemon I can, but I always have a main team of fighters I fall back on when I really need to kick some ass.

A Team for sure. XD I will catch (or attempt to) any pokemon I might not have, but I have a specialized team from the start that I'll swap out given I raise a different one that has attacks that I could use. Definitely not strategic either ... I raise them so they can pummel the opposition in as few moves as possible. XD
This. I've not played Pokemon for years until I decided to give retro gaming a try since last week (Pokemon Fire Red, LOTR The Third Age for GBA, and the original Crash and Spyro PS1 games). I usually use the following party style though:

Fire
Water
Grass
Electric
Flying
Psychic

However, I usually use a Rock or Ground type (normally Geodude) until I can get a Psychic type. later games I'll use Espeon, but I may well simply raise an Abra and evolve it while playing Fire Red. However, I make a point usually of training a single party of these types, then any other Pokemon I catch go straight into the PC Boxes.

A cross between a Bezerker and an A-team. I have to or three guys who can wipe the floor with any opponent and are different types to prevent a the problem of type disadvantage that you get with only one strong guy.
