So...weird topic, I know, but I'm a language fanatic, so I like this kind of stuff.

So who's polylingual? What languages do you speak?

Me? English is my native language...I speak German (pretty damn well) and Arabic (intermediate level). Makes sense though...those are my majors.

English and I have a minor qualification in Spanish....which is so old that it is totally irrelevant...

So, I speak English...but my father speaks fluent Italian for his job, so I might get him to teach me something one of these days...

I speak English, profanity, and sarcasm fluently.

In all seriousness, English and German is the only foreign language that I know really well, but I'm learning Japanese. I want to re-learn French, I miss it so.

My first language was German.

My family moved to the U.S. when I was four and dropped German use entirely so I lost it.

I recently re-learned German and now speak it fairly well (well enough to go a month speaking almost exclusively German) and understand it even better.

And yes I did have to re-learn most of the language. Some things came a little more easily to me than to my classmates, but there were only a few instances of spontaneous recovery (a plural form here, a gender there; that sort of thing).

English, three years of Spanish, and some broken Japanese. Unlike my friends who pretend to know Japanese, I admit that I can't speak it well.

Just English. Trying to learn French in secret for my wife. It's going very slowly because learning a new language is tricky when you're dyslexic.
edit: Wife is from France. Hence the French.
