Final levels of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. When you have to escape from the building really quickly.

Escort missions, too. I think Half-Life is the only game who did escort missions right: You're escorts cannot die (unless they get three shots from a shotgun at point-blank), they help you with combat, you know the route, and you only have to worry about yourself.

Water levels. I fully agree. I still remember that level from Banjo-Kazooie.

Racing levels. I bought a fighting game so I could beat people up, not so I could race.

Defending levels. I hate it because usually you're overwhelmed., and all assistance is useless.

Capture the Flag. Getting to the enemy base, finding the right room, going out, and going to Point X without dying? Really?

Timed missions. I hate the stress.

Chase levels. I do suprisingly well on them, but I still hate them.

Horror levels. I hate them because it mainly includes the hateful pop-out scares.
so you pretty much dont like videogames? :D

i hate quicktime events.. not because i cant do them but because if your gonna put in a quicktime event to do a complicated dodge etc of some sort at least make it hard! and properly intergrated as part of the game system not just one part in the whole game where u have to press x/a/watever button once

The Ice Levels [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SlippySlideyIceWorld]. If they have frictionless ice [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FrictionlessIce], then I hate them even more.

In my opinion, frictionless ice is one of the worst things you can put in your game.

the ones that the developers forgot about something and made it impossible for what ever reason...

I somehow hate a graveyard level when you're in a mystical land. The only exception was Zelda Majora's Mask with the canyon.

I hate that timed level variant where you have to keep moving because the floor keeps falling behind you. It does not have a timing event in reality, but you need to keep moving or die.

caves, large ruins, extensive dungeons, and graveyards. They all look the same and the monsters that inhabit them are all done to death...

"oh look another bunch of skeletons and zombies, like I'm not sick to death of THOSE"

obviously I never could get into or enjoy diablo

One shot, one kill in CoD4. The ending of that mission is NEAR FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE ON VETERAN! I barely squeaked out a victory on that level and I never played it again.
This, Those fuckers always flanked me at the Ferris wheel. I barely finished it on regular.
I did this mission on veteran and it took me about 2 hours. After 1 hour I had to look on Youtube for an easier way and even then I lost about 5 or 6 times. To add insult to injury, on one try the helicopter came and I died the second I got on with Price.

I had to try the next day because of how pissed I was.

Besides the levels mentioned above, Any Clock Tower stage in Castlevania, those fuckers are designed for maximum annoyance, The Twilight town chapter in Paper Mario:TTYD, the back and forth in that chapter is just tedious.

Timed levels that force you to take the long way for some arbitrary reason. Also, levels where the edge of the screen creeps up on you, making you have to keep going forward at a steady pace (like in that freeware Eversion game towards the end, where the big black cloud of death chases you through the level).

Also, boss levels where you can't go back to a safe place to build up your levels more or restock on items. That's actually why I never finished Final Fantasy Tactics.

Defense missions where I need to protect one of the defenders who is a total fucking idiot and never goes to where I want to defend the place from, and I'm forced to use some bad position when I've discovered like 2 choke points that are easy to cover...

Escort missions piss me off too, especially when they're too easy to the point where the game spawns enemies just to give you something to do during it...

Tacked-on obligatory stealth sections. In example, Windwaker, or Jedi Outcast.

"Well, I'm definitely CAPABLE of getting through this room using my typical ass-kicking routine, BUT for no particular reason if I get spotted, I will become completely paralyzed and helpless as the enemy who spotted me flips a shit and drags me back to the start."

The Omega Pirate boss fight from Metroid Prime.
Strangely I had more trouble with the supposedly easy rolling boss (forgot his name) that gives you the Spider Ball, I actually beat the Omega Pirate in about 5 tries. Of course, he summons beam troopers, so he counts.

Why the fuck do so many people think Macmillian is Price in that mission!? YOU ARE PRICE
Alright, alright! Macmillan. After, helping Macmillan.

I haven't played that game in a year.

I hated the water levels in the Mario levels. I wasn't fond of the dark, ghost infested levels either.

I also hated the Tattooine and Kashyykk levels of KOTOR. I dunno why really: I just dislike the wilderness areas.
