Name:Sana Hitashi

Gender: female

Age: 30

Race/Subtype: Fae/elf half demon

School/Level/Specific Art (if applicable):

In her elven form:Mancy/Level 1/metalmancer
She-devil form: Mancy/Level 3/metalmancer

Appearance: Standing at 6 feet two inches tall, Sana is a rather thin woman. Her ears are pointed like an elf's for the simple reason she is one. Her weight is around 140lbs, long white hair down to about midways down her torso. She usually elects to keep the left side of her face covered, pulling her hair back on the right side so it falls over the back of her ear and gives her visibility. Her skin is a paler white color while retaining the look and softness of a 20 year old.

She usually wears a hoodie fashioned to look like link, underneath that is a white tank top and she wears grey cargo pants below that. on her feet are just normal black sneakers.

Faction (can be freelancer): freelance

History: Her mother being an elf and her father being an incubus, Sana is a rather peculiar half elf demon. she grew up, learning to control her darker side and her powers over metal. she's grown up a bit of a nerd, playing allot of videogames. She works at a gamestop in the city now.

However, in her past, she's been horribly bad at controlling her powers, like when her first boyfriend was an asshole to her one to many times, then broke up with her when she found out that he was cheating on her. The brownstone was left as a twisted heap of brick and metal. no survivors. this put her on a watch list for a number of organizations, to be careful and take her out if the opportunity arises.

Skills (what your character is good at beyond their Art): videogames, computers. she's been practicing kenjutsu as well. not to forget that she also picked up on how to play a guitar fairly well.

Weapons (optional): a series of unassuming rings and metal bands she wears on her arms are perfect tools for her.

Notes: she does have a violent side. despite being a rather calm nerd with a her emotions controlled, he does occassionally have outbursts of emotion when she's too stressed, and that is the time this side is released. because it' demonic, it increases her abilities, but also rampages and resist any attempts to head back to her calm state.

Name: (PFC.) Peter Stubbe
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Race/Subtype: Werewolf Alpha
School/Level: N/A

Average height (5'7), muscular and lithe build, and pretty well tanned. Wears his brown, almost blonde hair short, especially on the sides, and slicked back, and he has a bit of a goatee. Eyes are blue, and a bit shifty. He is an energetic person, usually seen fidgeting with something, usually his hands.

His sense of style is, in a word, nonexistent. He wears whatever cheap crap he can find, preferring baggy to hide his gun, knowing it all just kinda breaks when he turns into his wolf form. Though, he usually carries a fanny pack filled with essentials, that fits to his werewolf form. He has a tattoo of a flaming horse on his hand, though it's lacking in symbolism, aside from perhaps "stay away from tequila."

Faction: Asura Group

History: Staten Islander, German father and a native mom, he was raised pretty thoroughly middle class. Pete inherited most his looks from his moms side, most would note, but he certainly gained one hell of a curse from dear old dad. Turns out he was a pretty well hidden Craven, though Pete took to lycanthropy rather well, becoming something more than dear old dad. He tried to hide it, though some kids flocked to him.

He wasn't exactly an all star in school, when it came to grades. Nice enough kid, kinda smart, too bad he wasted his potential. He stayed away from most competitive sports, though he liked free running, and even got use out of it from his job as a delivery boy! Or, at least he tried to use the skills, didn't end as well as it should've. When he came of age, he found he hated his job, and wanted to move away.

So he joined the army, specifically the Marines. He adapted to the lifestyle pretty quickly, was a pretty good little soldier, except on nights under a full moon, where he was mysteriously absent. A few investigations turned up jack shit on his habits, he had chosen a pretty nice native werewolf family to stay with, though how much they actually had to say in the matter is debatable. Life was pretty uneventful save the shells. On his first actual time out in combat, he ended up with a bullet wound tearing up his hand, sending him home to the States as thoroughly embarrassed as possible. He kept the skills up, healed his hand, but still couldn't break out of his mini-depression.

In an effort to get out of his slump, he started doing some mercenary work in an attempt at some sort of redemption, and he was pretty good. Ended up working for some organizations, though his name likely wouldn't show up on any records. He currently works mostly for the conglomerate Asura group, though he takes a few odd jobs on the side. Most of it isn't even murder.

Skills: Pete is certainly fit, a free runner before the military, and now after his stint he's gained some edge on most with his training. He can perform adequately with any weapon given, though he tends to favor defense and pragmatism.
Outside the area of combat, he has quite a few survival skills, but very few practical skills. He can pick a lock given time, and he has some very minor knowledge of computers. Really, his strength is in leadership ability; getting men to follow him is easy. He just has trouble with tactics from time to time. He works best with someone looking over his shoulder.

Weapons: Just a pistol, it's really all he needs. Standard Glock 35, no attachments, one extra mag, 17 rounds each. Good to be prepared, no?

Notes: Prefers to not abuse his Alpha powers, though he isn't too well trained in anything except hiding it. Likes to think himself a human, sometimes.

Name: Olivia Grigson

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Race/Subtype: Werewolf/Craven

School/Level/Specific Art: Summon/Practitioner (level 2)/Animal focus

Appearance: Like all Craven, she's thin though she prefers lithe. She stands at 6 foot 2 inches, has slightly tan skin with a mole on the back of her upper arm (right) and dark brown hair that reaches the middle of her back. Her face is rather plain and the only thing worth mentioning are that her eyes are black.
She tends to wear a few tight-fit shirts and some jeans but some shorts or a a boat-neck shirt arn't out of the ordinary for her. She does tend to wear a grey wool double-buttoned coat which she shows a favoritism for, wearing it almost everywhere and having 2 to 3 replacements at a time. Lastly, she has a messenger bag with a book and a sketchpad in it, the latter being useful for taking notes and sketching objects and faces while the former is just for entertainment.

Faction: Gareth Corporation

History: Born in Queens, Olivia was born into a family of werewolves that had finally gotten in good standing with the Grey Talons. She never knew her mother but her father swore up and down the city that her mother was alive somewhere and someday, he would make arrangements for Olivia to she her. Her father, Grant, officially joined the faction a few weeks after she was born and was set to raise her in their ways. Her "uncle", a Craven named Gilbert, however rejected the idea of joining the Grey Talons, preferring to stay a freelancer but still kept contact with the family. Her father at first tried everything he could to try and convice his brother to join but the uncle refused every time, saying that the Grey Talons were just barely able to keep in control and once someone realized that then there would be trouble and he didn't want to be affiliated with them when it happened. Each one tried to see the others point of view but ultimately couldn't, opting to just let the other go about his life. They were even able to set aside their differences without too much arguement so as to allow Olivia the ability to know her uncle.
At first everything was good, Olivia's dad played with her whenever he could while he and the pack members taught her about math, reading, writing, art, etc. while her uncle taught her the more "practical lessons" of hunting, socializing with humans, being independent, and defending oneself. This was sufficient until she was ten when tensions between her father and uncle started growing due to an event that she was told that she couldn't understand yet. Afterwards her father began to get frustrated as, as he put it, her "uncle" started meddling in affairs that were none of his concern and that her uncle didn't trust that he could handle it; This went unexplained also. As she grew, he father started growing distant and colder to her in particular, as he and her "uncle" used their time that they were to teach her to spite each other subtly, having it go over her head and making her feel as if she was just a tool to them. This little battle of wits came to a head when her father found out that her "uncle" was teaching her The Summoning Arts behind his back.
The resulting fight was the worst they had had in a long time and only stopped when the rest of the family were able to come up with a compromise, Olivia could continue her training but she had to focus on Animal summoning only. The father reluctantly agreed, stating that the Art in and of itself was disrespectful to the dead and he wished she never had started the training and had started Mancy training instead while the "uncle" claimed that her father was just afraid of what she would learn from their recently dead.
Soon after, her father started restricting her time with her "uncle", allowing her to see him less and less, and so with more and more time on her hands, she tried to find out why her father and uncle had startes hating each other. At first she assumed that it had to do with the Grey Talons, but she had no evidence to prove it, she didn't even know that much of her father's group and had met nobody that she could remember from them. She got no info from the family either, all they would say is that she would learn when her father was ready to tell her. She tried sneaking into his office but whenever the door wasn't locked the desk drawers were and if he had gotten any texts or calls to his phone then they had been instantly erased. She did find tidbits that the work and the duties that he fulfilled to the group were not one and the same but not enough to tie this fact to the feud. One night she just finally up and asked him, provoking a slew of insults directed at his "former brother" and a 2 hour rant. Needless to say, she learned nothing from this exchange, snd she soon gave up, resolving to find out when she was older and less restricted, something she worried about since the more time passed, the more she and her uncle drifted apart.
Eventually, she only got to see her "uncle" once a year, a far cry from their original times. At the last meeting, some odd years later, her uncle, who joined the Gareth Corporation, had grown more aggravated, saying that her father was more focused on attacking him than caring for her or noticing the growing threat. It felt weird for her to call this man her uncle, probably what her father wanted, and he seemed to be having a similar problem. He nonetheless tried to rebuff the notion that her father didn't love her and pointed out that his work and his duties to the Grey Talons was wearing on him, confirming the fact that he was working outside the organization too. Though pressed about it, her uncle gave no more info about it other than confirming that said work was a part of their feud. That year was the toughest time for her father, dealing with a verable platterful of conflict that was sparking up. The more it continued, the more worried he got for his daughters saftey, and so he took precautions to keep her safe.
He had one last talk with her before the hammer struck and the Black fang revealed themselves. He called her in and sat her down before letting it all out and apologizing to her for his cold and unwarranted behavior towards her for his brother's actions. He promised that he would reveal what he had been planning one day, and why that had caused such hatred between his brother and him.
When the Black fang struck, Olivia's father was blindsided by the attack. With the sudden attack, all he could do was get his daughter to safety and try to rally the pack and fight back. Dragging her away from the fighting, he handed her over to a friend in the underground, who would care for her and look after her until he got back and this hostile takeover was squashed. She didn't understand why he did this, she could help since she had learned how to fight and use the Arts from her uncle. Nonetheless, she stayed hiden in the underground, stayying there for a few weeks, until someone came and contacted her. The entirety of Queens was swept over in one night and the Grey Talons were thrown out by the Black Fang, a relative newcomer in the city. Almost all of her pack was either missing or dead, her father amongst the latter.
After the funeral, her uncle offered to let her live at his home for a while, which she accepted. She kept to herself most of the time and rarely interacted with her uncle while he did his best to give her space. Curiously, she saw him slip into his own melancholy over the death but she never questioned it. Over this time, she began hating the Black Fang, and began looking for ways to "repay" them. She considered joining the Grey Talons but felt that they weren't strong enough to help her acheive her goals and besides, she had no knowledge or no loyalty to them due to her father keeping her away from the group. In the end, she settled for following her uncle and joining up with Gareth Corperation, figuring that they would at least be concerned about getting their old territory back which ment fighting the Black Fang.
A while later she recieved some mail, in it was a letter from her father, apoligizing for failing to explain everything to her and hoping that this would help her understand, along with a stack of...papers. She had no idea about what it was about and what it ment but she recognized a few of them from his office. Still, it was a lead on a big question and with that, she moved out, got her own place, and started working on her two big goals, destroy the Black Fang, and find out what happened between her father and uncle.

Skills: Due to her rather viscously-passive hatred her father and uncle had for each other and their teachings she's retained enough to function in normal society while having a rather large interest in radically different subjects but her skills mostly include sketching, writing/taking notes, tracking (not hunting as a whole), and knowlegde in the arts and The Arts. As a trade-off, she's not good at socializing, can overlook the obvious, and sometimes can't prioritize as well as she needs to.

Weapons: None

Notes:
-Her uncle is an old friend of her father's, near brotherly, and technically her godfather, just to clear up the relationship.
-Her werewolf form is basically a similar size to her normal form and is more used for dodging and running while the summons do their thing.
-She has made a few friends, some human, some fae, but mostly she keeps to herself.
-She may not be a member of the Grey Talons but due to her family once being close to them, she harbors a secret hope that they'll survive, if not for said family.

Sorry for the delay, the original version got deleted by a family member.

I wanted something my character could focus on when not on a mission but the idea that i had involved a bit of set up so sorry for the wall of text for the backstory. If anything is wrong just tell me and i'll fix it.

EDIT: Jesus bloody drunk as a duck christ! I wrote that much up in a day? I thought the escapist would make it look smaller. Sorry.
Don't worry about it.

I'm not the GM but...
I like your character.

Her background makes her immediately likeable, and I like the idea of a werewolf being something other than a musclebound tank-buster.

Almost feels like a Native American character would in Shadowrun. Very cool.

Also... her hopes for the Grey Talons umm...

heh. I wonder how her opinion of them would change if she knew my character, Johnny D'Ville was counted among their number.

Hell, I'm just curious how well they'd get along.

Actually... it feels more like World of Darkness with some elements of Shadowrun to me.

Just replace 'corporations' with 'Princes' and you've pretty much got it.

And everyone trying uphold some kind of Masquerade.

In Shadowrun, normal humans KNOW about the metahumans...

here, and in WoD, they don't.

All lovely sheets, do a good job of showing the kind of diverse lives that these people live.

I did draw upon Shadowrun as one of the sources of my inspiration, but things like the Bloodlines franchise and WoD did guide me more when it came to hammering out the setting. The main reasons I skewed away from Shadowrun were twofold:

1. Chances were going to be high that the players would know more about the universe than I, which would've led to me doing their characters a disservice when it came to the degree of possibility I put into the runs.

2. I wanted to experiment with a higher degree of diversity in the races. In Shadowrun, aside from physical ability (which exists as an endpoint on a slider in most cases), the races were pretty much cosmetic. I want to try and see what happens when the person next to you can actually do stuff you can't, beyond their choice in magic.

Name: Ari Hrafn

Gender: Male.

Age: 35.

Race/Subtype: Fae.

School/Level/Specific Art (if applicable): Mental/Level 3/Telepath

Appearance: Ari is roughly 5'8", with a slender build, weighing in at a little over 135 lbs. He moves with a smooth ease, neither slow nor fast.
Most people hardly register any of this, however, in favor of gawking at his more unusual feature. Ari has a strange facial tattoo. This is his family's legacy, born to him. The tattoo moves and changes at random times, though never while being observed. The tattoo seems to be at least somewhat based on Ari's feelings at the time, though it also seems to be conscious, often changing forms specifically to hinder Ari. (As an example: when detained by police, it may change to prominent gang signs.)
Besides his tattoo, he's mostly normal. He has perfectly normal light brown eyes, well-trimmed black hair, and a clean-shaven countenance. He is decently handsome, with a sharp jawline and straight white teeth, though his strange, veined, bulging forehead does detract somewhat. However, despite his moderate attractiveness, there is something deeply unsettling about his looks, especially to humans. There is something about him that screams "Different" to anyone who looks. The growth of his forehead with his attainment of the rank of Virtuoso has not helped this, and now he can't pass in human society at all, at least not without covering his forehead entirely.
He tends to wear dark colors, though no black, with sturdy running shoes, and loose jeans. Not precisely the most stylish of ensembles, but they're obviously expensive clothes.

Faction (can be freelancer): Freelancer, though the Asura Group has recently taken to hiring him for months at a time.

History:
Ari was born in Iceland, his family's native home. Unbeknownst to his mother, his father was a fae-blooded human, and the baby was somehow.. Off. Though there was no tattoo on him yet, something about the baby put people on edge. His mother never got over it, and believed until the day she died that she'd given birth to a demon. His father, on the other hand, was a Fae himself, though he was much less unsettling. Ari and his father were fairly close, in stark contrast to he and his mother.
Anyways, at six his mother discovered his father summoning demons in the basement, and, understandably frightened, fled, leaving the child behind. Ari was left alone with his father, who then began to teach Ari about the arts, and the things that lurk in the dark corners of the world. Until then, his father had assumed the Fae blood was too diluted for Ari to have any arts, but the boy picked right up on his studies.
Ari's father, a man whose name is entirely unimportant, was a local politician, so when his exwife, Ari's mother, began spreading rumors that he was summoning demons, it could not stand. So, Ari's father hired an assassin. On the same day, Ari's mother began to form a mob to assault the manor and bring Ari's father before a priest and/or a judge.
You can probably see where this is going. At the end of the day, Ari was an orphan, his old home ashes. He had relatives in America, in a place called "New York". He was soon on a jet, flying to meet them. They lived on a farm outside of Albany. He spent the next few years there, trying to forget about the Arts and everything else his father had taught him.
This did not last. At 15, his tattoo manifested, and he realized he couldn't just ignore his heritage forever. He left for New York City, having a pretty good idea that it was a hub for the Shadow Community. He was right, of course, though he had difficulty finding any. At the time, he was an Apprentice telepath, and would simply walk around town listening to thoughts, watching for someone whose thoughts he couldn't read. His father's inheritance was large enough to keep him idle for some years.
Ari settled in Queens, and eventually found a telepath willing to teach him- for a hefty sum, of course. So he learned with her for a few years, before ascending to Practicioner. He then left his teacher to study by himself.
By this point, Ari was 23. His inheritence was mostly gone, and he needed steady work. So he whored himself out as a merc, studying his Art in his downtime. He was good. Thought theft, hacking, search and retrieval, he did it all. He bounced around between anyone who wanted his services, undercutting his competitors simply by not needing the money as badly as they did. Cutthroat business practices and literal throat cutting followed, and Ari was soon a middling freelancer with a decent reputation and a funny accent.
At some point, after a few years of this, he began to have a deeper understanding of the workings of the mind: his forehead began to bulge and he had the most wicked headache for a month straight. At the end of it, though, he knew he's ascended once again, to Virtuoso.
Then, his career began in earnest. He did whatever he was paid to do, without respect to morality or legality. He spent just over a decade like this, fighting and killing and stealing for a living. He was caught a few times, but it was never hard to escape. He failed a few times, and quietly refunded the payment, plus a little extra. These times were few and far inbetween, however.

During this period, Ari met one of the most interesting men he ever has, a historian goblin. The goblin heard of Ari's work stealing some historical information, and contracted him to obtain some Earthborn history that was apparently out of his immediate grasp. The mission was, of course, a success, and Ari and the gentleman goblin, by the name of Mael, hit it off, and have remained friends ever since.

The Asura Group eventually roped him into a month-long contract through a combination of absurd payouts and threats, and he found he enjoyed it. He worked alongside an Alpha werewolf, a sort he'd never encountered much before.
He began to take longer and longer contracts with the Asura Group, with breaks in between. He usually found himself working with a partner of some sort, typically a fighter- often that selfsame Alpha, a man named Peter. Either way, that's how he finds himself now: in the last week of a months-long contract with Asura Group, considering taking a permanent contract with them, and giving up the merc lifestyle.

Skills (what your character is good at beyond their Art): Ari is a information retrieval specialist, either from people's heads, people's harddrives, or people's files. To this end, he has an eidetic memory, and excellent skills at hacking and lockpicking. He loved to climb as a child, and still retains some ability to scale things, though neither quickly nor elegantly.
Outside of his job, he cooks fairly well, and is a strong swimmer. He speaks his native Icelandic fluently, and now lightly accented English.
In combat, however, he is pretty close to helpless. If for some reason his phantasm fails, he has trained with a pistol and can reliably hit a target at ranges below 25 feet. Farther than that, it's pretty much a crapshoot.

Weapons (optional): A Heckler & Koch P30 semi-automatic, chambered in 9mm, worn in a holster on his lower back.

Notes: The "mark" of his family changes between each of them, but it always appears on the face. For example, his father's Mark was a large scar that changed positions regularly. Ari's is the first one known to have any kind of intelligence, let alone animosity. At least, that he knows of.
If you haven't realized, his parner at Asura is ruedyn's character, Peter Stubbe, and the goblin friend is Rue's OTHER character, Mael.
EDIT: Added in a friendship with Mael.

Name: Katrina Serrano

Gender: Female

Age: 27

Race/Subtype: Fae

School/Level/Specific Art: Mancy/Level 2/Cryomancy

Appearance:

A light skin tone with a lithe, but semi-muscular body to maintain a ladylike physique. Has long platinum blonde hair that extends a couple of inches past the shoulders around the back, though it shorter around the sides and front; this serves as a contrast to the violet coloured eyes which glow slightly when using her Art.

Katrina most notable articles of clothing are a dark blue overcoat with a high popped collar and a white embroidery pattern, along with a custom made fedora hat which has the sides bent and pointing upwards; with the base being a dark grey and the top being black in colour. Underneath all this is a light grey shirt worn below a set of body armour, a holster for firearms and some addition magazines, a pair of combat trousers for ease of movement, and a pair of sturdy boots.

(Please refer to image for reference point for hat)

Faction : Freelancer

History :

Katrina was originally for England, born to an Italian mother and an English father, both of whom were Fae. It was from an early age of 13 that the young Katrina discovered her powers of Cryomancy; when during a snowball fight with her parents, a snowball see threw literally exploded in mid-air, creating a series of icy shards that scattered around them.

At first, she didn't know what to make of it, but her parents soon told her that she had awoken her Art; and that she would have to learn how to control her powers in order to use them effectively, so began a period of several years where she was taught by her parents about the Arts, with her father handling the theory whilst her mother, who was also a Cryomancer handled the more practical side of things. During these years the also family moved to Washington DC in America.

Throughout college, Katrina was studying both Chemistry and Biology, to help find other uses for her Art powers, sometimes using herself as a case study; but also studying Performing Arts, as she was always wanting to act when she was younger. By the time she finished college, Katrina was experienced enough in Cryomancy, that she was able to summon large spike of ice at will, with them literally forming out of the palm of her hand.

Her early twenties were interesting, during the Summer months she'd help out and often perform with amateur dramatics groups; even getting a leading role or two on occasion, and throughout the Winter, she'd help her mother make ice sculptures for various special occasions.

On her 21st birthday, she was gifted an unusual looking staff by her parents; with her mother remarking that it was time for it to be passed on to Katrina, as it had been to all members of the family on her mother's side. Katrina started practicing with the staff, find it useful as both a focus for her Art, but also as an effective melee weapon; after destroying one of the practice dummies that were set up.

Katrina moved to New York about two years ago, wanting to expand her knowledge of the world, as part of a plan to one day travel the whole world; and is still getting to grips with the size and scale of the big city.

Skills :

Aside from her Art, gun-play and in melee combat training, years of navigating the city streets both on and off jobs has meant Katrina is a skilled free runner and map reader. She has a basic understanding of chemistry and biology, and understands how her Art can be useful in these fields and is also able to use a computer. Katrina has a basic understanding of mechanics, due to her use of a motorcycle that she uses to travel across New York when covering large distances, or to escape an area more quickly than on foot. And thanks to her dual heritage, she can speak fluent English and Italian.

Weapons :

Katrina's main weapon is a staff with an orb on top of it which gives of a light blue aura, has a mist like substance swirling around inside of it and is cold to the touch. The staff acts as a focusing point for her Art, on occasions when she needs more precision, but is by no means necessary for her to use it. There is also a silver blade one the bottom for when Katrina has to fight Vampires. However, in the event that she finds her Art not working, she'll resort to a pair of modified pistols which are useful for taking out medium range targets.

Notes :

The power of Katrina's Art appears to increase during Winter, but not to the point where she would be classified as a Virtuoso; and it seems to wane a little during Summer, but not to where she'd be seen as an Apprentice. Rather it is the overall power and and potency that is effected, not the capabilities.

For example, she is still able to manipulate ice at a range of fifty meters during Summer, it's just she isn't able to hold it for as long a period of time; and the opposite could be said for during Winter.

Name: Yuki Blake

Gender: Female

Age:22

Race/Subtype: werewolf/shifter (Fox)

School/Level/Specific Art:Mental level 2 telepath (Illusionary specialization)

Appearance: Yuki stands 5 foot tall, has green eyes, light skin and athletic build. Her hair color depends on who's looking at her. For the normal human population she has black hair and looks like a normal human girl, the non human population see her as she really is, her hair is white, has a pair of fox like ears with black tips sitting a top her head and a trio of fox like tails that sway behind her, also with black tips and her canines are slightly longer then normal.

Her alt for is a normal white fox with three tails, that share her eye color.

Faction: Freelance

History: Yuki is a Japanese American, with her inheriting her 'Kitsune' ability's and more mischievous leanings from her mother, Shizuka a Ninetail, her love of humans and most her moral grounding from her father Jason. Yuki spent her childhood (toddler to middle school) being home schooled, due to her appearance. When she was old enough and had the control over her powers needed to mask her appearance. Yuki's school days where pretty normal, she had friends and enemy's like everyone else, with High School being little different then Middle School save that she was less shy about using her powers to get back at some of the more bitchy of classmates with pranks.

After High School Yuki has just kinda floated, working a few part time jobs and such to help out with her family's finances, after they fell victim to the failing economy.

Skills: Can craft Illusions to blind and manipulate the senses, as well as read minds to a degree. These illusions can not directly cause death (IE impalement or crushing) but can cause death indirectly (IE make a roof seem longer or blind them to an on coming train). Her mind reading capability's can be resisted by those with ether better versed in metal ability's or naturally strong mental blocks.

Can speak ether English or Japanese fluently.

Weapons: Shizuka has been teaching Yuki to a staff as well as fight unarmed, though this 'training' is mostly mother daughter bonding time and not meant as actual combat training, but she can defend her self with out her powers if need be.

Notes:Yuki does not have a malevolent bone in her body, but loves mischief, and while not above using her powers for her own amusement, dislikes using them for the express purpose of causing harm. She tends to like humans more then other 'super naturals' out side her family. Views her self as a 'Kitsune', and takes offense to being called others wise. Yuki seeks to become a Ninetail like her mother.

Just curious Zuma...

which World of Darkness did you draw from, and how much?

In what way, I mean.

Is there a Masquerade?

I saw hints of one, but is there one like in WoD where breaking it can easily result in a Blood Hunt being called on your character?

Also... while I think the Old World of Darkness was generally richer in lore (from what I've read of both)... there was one idea from the New one that I thought was fairly interesting (and hilarious).

The Malkavians. In the Old WoD, they were just another clan. A crazy one sure, but still just another clan.

In the New WoD, though...

they are a disease that can be passed from vampire to vampire. A madness that warps their powers and minds...

and it started with the Ventrue. And since the Ventrue are traditionally recruited from the rich and powerful...

this makes the Malkavians the result of the Vampire equivalent of inbreeding. Which I thought was hilarious.

Just curious, anyway.

If you are a level 3 (Virtuoso) in the arts what kind of thing does it mean by giving up?
I was thinking it was like a part of your body or something but i wanted to make sure.

I like the sheet, and the skills do seem to only compliment his Art. I'll keep the partnership in mind if I need to pick and choose who gets in (though that isn't a problem right now).

Evrant said:

Well, here is the sheet as it is so far, still got to do the biography, and I may add or rework stuff in the skills section if I can think of something.
I'll just remember this is here then and pass judgement on it when it's done. I don't see anything I don't like, though I'd imagine it would be hard to walk around in public as someone so armed.

I like the sheet, but I should mention that if you want to use illusions, than you are a part of the telepathy section of the Mental Art. A nitpick mainly, as it doesn't change any of your character's powers.

I took broad strokes out of what I found while researching my idea, I can't really specify where/when I got them. The Masquerade idea, however, actually came from Bloodlines (the Nosferatu came from this as well), where most of the Vampire clans agreed to hide from the public, though some clans disagreed.

The change I made was to actually have the point of the Masquerade be backed up by "historical fact", the Black War. Because of this, it is commonly believed the Humanity would just scour the Art-inclined species from the Earth if the general public were made aware of their existence. Though the Black War was so long ago that someone could find good footing in an argument about the usefulness of the Masquerade on the basis that Humanity's fear of the Community has been on the decline; pulling proof from their popular media....which may or may not be actually created by the Community itself.

When I used the phrase "giving up", I meant that metaphorically...somewhat. Mainly in how you "give up" a piece of what you once were to be closer to your Art. You're not sacrificing a limb or something, but rather part of your being.

I don't really know if that answered your question, but I thought I provided some examples in the descriptions of individual Arts.

Just curious, exactly what do you mean by "historical figure" in the summoning section?
Anyone who actually existed at one point or another. Summon a great knight or soldier to aid you in battle, or a diplomat to shore up your skills in diplomacy.

You can pretty much summon anyone who has actually lived at that level, it's just that historical figures would be easier to connect to than just some average person.

Appearance:

*Human: thin and tall man with striking blue eyes and black hair. Standing almost 6 feet tall and weighing not much over 180 he looks like instead of muscle he has wires under his skin. His skin is tanned and there are several ropes of scar tissue on his arms and back, one thin scar across his face from just under his left eye all the way down to his collarbone. Usually wearing a black short sleeve shirt with a lone wolf or moon design on it with work jeans and tennis shoes, all of which he looks uncomfterable in and is usually fidgeting slightly when standing around. A wolf [http://www.snap.ednet.ns.ca/hhs/mm12rengland/tribal%20wolf%20head.png] tattoo on the back of his left hand and a celtic S [http://seven.ucoz.net/s7s-logo.png] over his heart, with a small roman numeral 3 under it.

*Wolf: long and thin he doesn't look like he has had enough to eat. His legs thin but more than able to hurtle him after prey and along roads and places. His eyes still a striking blue his fur is a grayish brown.
Scars in just about the same area the one on his face is hidden under his fur.

Faction (can be freelancer): freelance

History: Born in Tennessee he was part of a newer werewolf pack, only a few decades since they had moved there and taking the area they lived as their own. Growing up as mostly werewolf he learned the hunt and pack rules before he even learned that there were other things but werewolves walking the world.
The pack let a craven stay in a cave north of them higher up on the mountain because of the wisdom and his skills with the arts, which were so large he was able to call anyone who had ever lived up to be talked to in front of you. He was used to keep the pack safe and to talk to past alphas for wisdom and advice concerning how they should deal with the surrounding packs and towns. As he was growing up he heard all about how the craven in the cave was dangerous and to stay way but because of how kids think he went to watch as he summoned up the people of the past for wisdom and to fight in ties of danger. Thinking it was an amazing gift he tried to copy him in private where no one could find him. At first nothing happened and he was disappointed but over time he was able to get squirrels and other small animals to come to him as spirits. One day when he was practicing the pack alpha walked in on him and surprised him, the spirits disappearing and his secret was out, taking Jubal by his hair he pulled him outside and summoned a pack gathering. The only topic of this gathering was to see what to do about Jubal, most of them wanting to forbid him from using it again but keeping him, while some wanted to have him learn from the craven in hopes of mastering his craft and someday being able to use it for the packs good.
The alpha decided that he was to take lessons from the craven so he knew how to use the art. Taken up there that day he was introduced to the craven and for the next many winters and summers he went there and slowly his control and power of summoning increased to such a degree that his body stopped being able to only function in the physical realm. When he was in his 15 th summer he was put into the adult tests and passed, getting the wolf tattoo on his off hand to show who and what he was for all with the eyes to see. After that the craven in the cave took him far into the wild and made him summon animal after animal from the lowest level to the highest Jubal could summon. After Jubal was finished and exhausted the craven summoned a master tattooist from another century and was given the Celtic S as proof of him being a Summoner, with the roman numeral 3 under for the level of his gift at the time he was formally recognized as an adult. Told that if he ever mastered his craft he would get that one removed and the last number put in its place.
On his way back to the pack he was happy and bouncing along after the craven, until he saw the fire and smoke. Racing away ahead he found the whole of his packs grounds where they lived wreathed in fire and death. Black things moving among the fire and killing the few pack members still alive. Jubal howled in furry and pain and tried to attack them but because of his exhausted state and his tormented mind because of what he saw his spirits he summoned were weak and was only able to do is mildly hurt one of the black monstrosities before his spirits were crushed out of existence. At that moment the craven appeared and hissed a word out that Jubal had never heard before but would never be able to forget again, "Atraxia". He summoned his most powerful spirit and sent it into the blaze to kill it but it was swiped aside and then another walked out from the fire and pierced the craven through the heart all in one swift move, attacking Jubl at the same time only making a deep scratch on his face that is visible even to this day. Jubal turned and ran, knowing that staying behind would only bring another death and nothing more, vowing that in the future he would find and kill the one who did this to his tribe. Running for what felt like forever he stumbled into another pack of wolves hunting, collapsing in front of them and near death they took him and brought him back to their camp.
For several days he was on the edge of death, exhausted from all that had happened he slowly come back and told his story, those around when he told it also hissing and explaining who and what Atraxia was. Finding out he told them he was going to find and kill the one responsible. They let him stay until he was well and told him more about the outside world, also about the shadow community. Deciding that he was going to head east and see about gaining experience and knowledge, along with to see if anyone had information about his packs killing.
He stayed with the friendly pack who found him for several years to learn about the outside world and what to do there, finally leaving when he was 20 summers. Taking a couple years to get to new york, traveling slowly and talking to any along his path about anything important. Getting to new york he knew about the boards that have jobs for those with the skills and willingness to do them. Having to travel at night and do much of his work at that time he because he would sometimes become ethereal and have mind splitting visions of the astral plane.

Skills (what your character is good at beyond their Art): free running, learned in the forests of Tennessee and useful even here in the city. Good tracker and hunter but used to hunting with a pack from his childhood but can do some on his own.

Weapons (optional): NA

Notes:

Comments, concerns. Anything to critique would be appreciated.

@EmperorZuma What kinds of animals are the small ones in summoning, and what kinds are the large? Roughly.

Name: James Crulk

Gender: Male

Age: 27

Race/Subtype: Werewolf/Craven

School/Level/Specific Art: Enhancement (Level 2)

Appearance: As a human, he's pale and sickly, with thin lips, a long nose, and a scraggly beard that shifts day-by-day but never gets longer or fuller. He suffers a limp where one of his former Alphas tore his leg, and the way he carries himself, hunched and fidgety, makes it no better. As a werewolf, on the rare occasion when he chooses to turn, his fur is prickly and patchy and he leans low at all times, more akin to a rat than a wolf.

Faction: Emergence Coalition.

History: Born in the gutters of Staten Island, taught in the gutters of Staten Island, raised in the gutters of Staten Island, James never cared much for his histories or any fancy book learnin'. His father, an Alpha, died in a war between rival packs when he was 7, and his mother had never wanted him anyway, so it was away with him. Shoved into an orphanage with the rest of the Shadow Community's evil little outcasts, James had an interesting childhood. By the time he was fully grown, he had learned the important qualities of cruelty, cowardice, selfishness, and mistrust. James had always fancied himself a cut above the rest of the scofflaws and thugs who populate his little neighborhood, so when the time came for him to choose between the two warring packs in his town, he thought he'd be clever and try for both. For years, he played them off each other, ratting on both to each other, spending hundreds of hours doing "espionage," and blaming someone else when it all went wrong. But after one too many raids, one too many bouts of 'misinformation,' one of the Alphas got suspicious. He planned a surprise raid on the others when James was away on espionage, and lo and behold, there he was, planning a raid with the other Alpha. From there, it was a swift descent into darkness. At the end, he was on the run from both gangs with a bleeding leg and a shattered mind, sick and afraid. He moved to the Bronx joined the Emergence Coalition as a way to hide and stay alive, and in the hopes the laws of the surface world would protect him.

Skills: James possesses a burning desire to survive, and he would do anything, no matter how monstrous, to appease it.

Weapons (optional): Aside from his aura, nothing.

Notes: Not sure if the whole "Serve two Alphas" thing is actually allowed. Sorry if it's not.

This what?

The third or fourth one with that?

4th. Meanwhile, the earthborn are getting screwed over...

I understand why due to being restricted to underground but i thought we'd eventually see an Orc at least.
