Not sure if the following constitutes as "little," but my car's acting strange.

When I turn it on and shift gears to Reverse, my car starts to shake violently. Like category 7.0 earthquake shake (and before you ask, yes, I have experienced one of those, so I can accurately draw that parallel). But when I shift to Parked or Drive, it doesn't act up at all. Problem is, I need to be in reverse in order to get out of my driveway, so I'm pretty much stuck.

So yeah, my day's gone, and I'm not going anywhere until I get it looked at/fixed.

Side note, anyone who's car savvy out there, mind giving me some suggestions as to what might be the problem?

I have a hangnail on my ring finger.
I write frequently, including today.
The pencil is constantly pushing against my sore finger.

Sad face.

I missed school last friday and when my teacher gave me my makeup homework to do the instructions were about as bad as they could be. The worst part was when I asked my teacher what to do, she blew me off and said to read the directions!

I ordered a sword that was supposed to arrive today, but the wrong one was, somehow, sent out by mistake. Now I have to wait until Thursday, at the earliest, to get my new sword, unless Canada Post really got their act together recently, which I doubt.

I bought the Fez PC port on steam...

The PC port is crap. I had it crash TWICE on me in the first few seconds of the game, and apparently it can crash to desktop. Now the crash itself wouldn't be so bad, but if the games crashes to desktop, your SAVE FILE GETS ERASED. Theres no manual save in Fez, it's all autosave. I paid $10 for a game that crashes and deletes my save before I even get halfway through it.

What's been bugging me today is that I finally picked up the new Tomb Raider (that's not the buggy bit) and I really want to like it, a lot, but a few kinda retarded design choices aren't helping it. Most of the are little things, like:

-Waaaay too many cutscenes. The longer ones are alright because they generally advice the plot or develop characters, but there are loads of mini ones where the camera's just being yanked around to watch some dude fall of a cliff. HEY! LOOK AT THIS! ARE YOU LOOKING? And I'd prefer if more, or most of the cutscenes were in-game too, they do get grating when there's one every few minutes.

-The fact that Lara slows to a dull walking pace when she's entering tombs and in tight spaces... and some of those tight spaces leave about a foot of headroom. It's just tedious and serves no purpose.

-The game keeps trying to turn into an action film. Big shootouts with loads of enemies. Tonally, it doesn't work for a lone inexperienced person to be fending off that many people, or surviving explosions from every corner. Mechanically, the gunplay just isn't great, making effective use of cover is a pain in the ass, so the whole thing becomes tedious.

-The great big set-pieces are quite nice, but again, the ruin the tone. Not only that, they probably cost a bomb. I'd kinda rather they'd focussed on making some more 'wow' ruins like the monastery, rather than lots of things explode and fall down cliffs and collapse and so on.
-

Basically, I'd rather they'd beefed up the survival and stealth elements of the game, and not tried to bring in all the COD style overblown stuff.
It's been a pretty good day, when all I can actually find to nitpick is bits of a game that bug me, especially when the game overall is still good.

The fact that a sizable amount of people are now trumpeting from the (Youtube) rooftops that "Story is not enough of a reason to call a game great" (of course, this all stems from Bioshock infinite, but I digress.)

It seems a bit hypocritical to me, seeing as entire genres of games have cropped up that only thrive BECAUSE of their story, character and dialogue. Nobody would remember Mass Effect or Planescape Torment if gameplay was the sole thing judged in games, but whatever.

Of course, I could chalk it all to the eternal "oh no, someone on the internet has a different opinion than me", so I guess that's it. Hell, if that's the worst thing that gets to me all day, I guess its gonna be a good Monday :)

Almost being run down by a cyclist ringing his stupid bell while crossing the road because he thought that a red light doesn't apply to cyclists!
That's a coincidence, because while cycling this morning I was almost run down by several motorists who decided that a foot is suitable clearance to give when overtaking, and who then immediately braked after pulling back in.
Hmmm interesting, would any motorist like to wade in at this stage with a story about being victimised by an articulated truck? Or even a steamroller perhaps?

Well I went to a baseball game today. Came back slightly drunk, had sunburn on my legs and my team lost. Nothing little more than slight annoyances but I discovered that the HDD from my laptop still works after I drunkenly took apart my laptop a few weeks ago. So now I have 500 more GB's in my computer so it's not all bad.
Finally got that "you win" out of that gif of yours.

OT; Meh, sometimes just stupid bullshit pisses me off (people acting stupid / annoying)
Today was a good day though, worked a bit, played some FC3 and now i am just gonna go to the gym.

However what will probably kill my mood is that when i get back i GOT to read some stupid BS text about logistics for school. Got a small test Tuesday and wanna get a 10 for it. (Just to annoy you guys with details, this quarter we get 5 tests for this one class, one every week or so, the average of those will count towards your final grade for 50% or something like that. The first test last Tuesday was a 4, so i kinda failed hard.)

I had an interview at 10am and it was far away so I had to get up really early, now I'm home and just wiped out and it's not even 1am here.

Well let's see...
I won't be seeing my ladyfriend until Tuesday, so that woke me up in a bad mood already. It all went downhill from there.

My muesli had mostly dissolved in singular crumbs and bits, making them too soggy in only a few seconds. Then, I washed my suit and it came out all fuzzy. I had to call my old mum if she could do anything, then I heard she'll go to her new boyfriend's concert on mother's day, so I won't see her as much as I'd want that day.

I ate a German steak, and now my bowels are upset, the bastards. I've been farting since dinner, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop soon. This would be bad enough, but tonight I'm going to my tabletop club to play with my Dystopian boats. My poor friends...

And I used to pirate about everything, especially films and documentaries, but she can't understand English and there's nothing with Dutch subtitles, so I may have to resort to... buying things in a store.

All in all, this day has not been all that bad.

Cheers, foul mooded brethren :)

I watched an hour long documentary on ants and my skin has been itchy ever since (documentary was fantastic though, will watch it again at some point)
Avoid the insects section on youtube like the plague :p

OT: Was in the grocery store and people are incredibly fucking rude. Stopping int he middle of aisles, pushing trolleys at an angle, swerving in front of you.

Whats worse is there were tonnes of them! Wanted to punch some suckers in the head > >

My neighbor is outside, like he is every morning, cutting wood with a circular saw to build things that no ones ever sees. He starts at like 6 AM and goes all goddamned day. My window opens towards his yard so if I want fresh air (which I do; thanks guy-who-smokes-in-the-apartment-downstairs) I must submit myself to the fury that is Neighbor Guy and his indefatigable +4 saw of noise.

I had to go to work today, nah not really I'm actually quite glad I have a job. I did get stuck behind someone driving way too slow this morning so that made me a few minutes late & that annoyed me, I'm a bit road ragey. Now I get to go home to someone I wish I could kick the fuck out, but I gotta play nice for now. All in all not too bad, but the day isn't over yet.

I know around where I live it is illegal to run things like that or lawn mowers before a certain hour. You could also say something to the guy I mean you can't really complain if you didn't even attempt to fix the problem.

A man can always complain. When you live in the north, bitching keeps your ass from freezing.

As for this guy being in the right or wrong of it, he's apparently free to do as he's wont to do.

I'm sitting in a library right now and the air conditioner is on, set to blow air whose temperature is slightly less than absolute zero. It's not even very warm outside today, but it's probably colder next to the vent in here than it is out there and it makes me angry.
