What made you want to join The Escapist?

I always found that this website boasts the most intelligent, non flammable conversation on the interwebz. if only more intelligent people knew! D,:

Unskippable, it was only later that I ever saw Zero Punctuation, then I started watching other things on here.

Joined because I got tired of Gamespot's groups spamming message boxes. Also because Escapist is a shit ton more interesting.

You could stop those messages I think, but leaving because of that? Nah. I guess that's why I never joined unions.

I just joined because I want to try another forum other than Gamespot. I've been GS for about 2 years now, want to change for a bit.

I think the general consensus is that we came for Zero Punctuation then discovered the forums. That's what happened with me.

I generally found the forums to be interesting and lurked them since late 2007, and finally joined in response to a rash of youth-bashing threads around my join date, even being the crazy youth rights guy for awhile. Of course, I switched to the much more profitable career of crazy anime fan, and I'm pretty sure I'm more remembered for that.

My girlfriend actualy showed me the site. I mainly liked Unskippable at first, then I grew to love pretty much everything else, then i got into the forums. :>
