There are very few true heroes because there is practically no such thing as good vs. evil, only point of view vs. point of view, so, one who is a hero from one point of view is probably a villain from the other. The only true heroes are those who act selflessly and for the betterment of all man kind. There are also situations like WWII where Ally soildiers might've liberated thousands from a deathcamp by killing only hundreds of Nazis, at times like that heroism is derived from statistics.

I don't think there are heroes. I think there are people who someone else thinks higher of than other people due to some action, inaction, or trait.

Sacrificing anything, no matter how small, to benefit someone else
I agree, someone who forgets the concequence to themselves and only know the benefits to others is a hero to me. The kind of person who risks himself for others is a hero to me.

Please keep point of views out of this, because anything moral related can be argued with "Well, if you look at this way...", which is annoying, I think we know what is good and what is bad.

a) A big gun, or some sort of powerful method of defense/attack

b) A generally unlikable attitude, ie. Brash, overconfident teen; Boo-hoo stoic

c) Some motive that generally involves good as a result. Money counts as a motive.

d) All of the above.

A hero in my opinion is undefinable. There are so many different types of heroes, and there is no easy way to tell a hero from a villain. Many would call George Washington a hero, though there are some who call him insane. Many would call Osama bin Laden a hero, though there are some (Practically everyone. The bastard D:<) that call him a crazy, F**ked up retard. The point is, in my opinion, in order to be a hero, everyone, and by that I mean EVERYONE!!! Must think the same way about him. Then, if such a thing does happen, I'm pretty sure it will become like...National *Insert hero name here* Day on the day he did said impossible task.

Someone who acts selflessly in the face of adversity, all the while music is playing and you are moving in slow motion.

What makes a hero, its what they will do to save others, (This will sound oh so cheesy but fuck off anyways!) there is a hero in everyone but most of us don't choose to embrace it, a hero will fight to help anyone, fight to save anyone really, they are willing to put it all on the line to save the day...
But thats just what I think and I left some stuff out cause I really don't feel like typing the rest down for people who really don't understand the concept

The only difference between a hero and a moron is the outcome.

I mean stereotypically a hero is someone who risks their own life to save someone elses in the olden days they'd just be called a martyr
