"Real" is only defined by one's perception so it is fluid in its nature.

There is no set criteria of behavior to be a real man.

Other than not being made of plastic, I tend to agree. Sex drive is great, and masturbating is perfectly healthy, but her ragging on you for the way you choose to comport yourself, is, frankly, straight up bullshit.

If she wants a guy to treat her like a whore, you can assure her, she'll have no trouble finding one. Finding one who'll treat you like a lady is a lot more difficult.

I think a "Real" man is someone who would rather talk something out then fight, someone who respects women, and someone who will do anything for their fiends.

A manly man is a male of stronger constitution. He's both physically and mentally tough. He doesn't cry unless he's presented with a massive emotional problem. He may not be a body builder, but he doesn't shirk physical work. He may be sensitive, but he doesn't allow that fact to hurt him. He may seem cruel and uncaring because of his rock like outlook, but it doesn't mean he's abrasive and hateful.

Im expecting lots of genitalia comments but what about people who have a sex-change? Where do they fit into that definition? I think you need to differentiate between sex and character.

My personal definition? There are a lot of "guys" in the world (you just need to be male for that) but a "man" is someone willing to stand up for the right thing and protect others despite what it might cost them personally.

Well, the way I look at it, the word real denotes a purely objective thing, thus warranting the genitalia comment. I'd say that sex change cases aren't still men, seeing as it's not functionable. Originally, they were male but through the wonders of science, they are no longer functionally male.

Only one thing makes someone a verified person, for me, which fits into both genders.

People need to have integrity, in my opinion.

It's a matter of personal opinion, because there's no objective definition even in the same culture. If there was, we'd all agree on that and this thread would be unnecessary.

As for what I think makes a 'real' man? I have no idea. All my friends know that just about any sentence that starts with the words "most men" has nothing to do with me. So, I guess, the exact opposite of me. Now if I could just describe myself without using the words "frothing madman", I might actually be of some use.
