The Flat earth society is mostly populated by pretentious assholes who don?t actually believe in a flat earth but just enjoy using confusing and barely known science, pseudo science and silly arguments and to destroy most of the people who disagree with them.

If you ask them outright they will admit as much. they will also tell you that there are a few nutters that actually do believe in a flat earth on the site.

If you use a genuine argument that can't be defeated they completely ignore you.

It's not worth bothering with those people as they are so stuck up their own egos that they barely notice that the outside world exists be it flat or otherwise.
