Getting shot in the face on Xbox Live by kids who have enough leisure time that they are freakin' unstoppable. I used to be that kid.

The first time I felt old was when I was watching a football match and realised that I was older then some of the players. Also watching music videos and reslising that they were younger then me when they made it.

That has made me feel very old.

Its also a sign your getting old when you can remember current football managers playing football. Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Zola, Paul Ince; i remember all of them plying their skills on the pitch rather than on the sidelines.

When my shoulder swells up and hurts when it rains, when I hear songs I liked as a kid on classic rock stations, when my wife (who's nine years younger than me) doesn't understand references I make because they were before her time, and whenever I'm forced to use the phrase "back in the day" to explain really cool stuff I don't/can't do anymore.

When I think about how there are kids who have had DVDs and CDs their whole lives, and have probably never seen a video tape or audio cassette
Remember rewinding?
Yeah, it was such a pain in the ass. I brought a bunch of old tapes to sell at a music store near here (which was pretty much a waste of time, since I only got a quarter for each one), but they couldn't take the ones that weren't rewound, since I guess they can get damaged if you leave them that way. I told the guy "I don't think I even have a VCR to rewind them with" lol

The Spice Girl reunion tour... which was when I got to explain to my little sister that I used to listen to them all the time with my tape player and was super excited when I got the Spice World movie on VHS.

And yeah, I was totally into them when I was younger... I couldn't help it.

Getting called 'ma'am'. I just turned 20, and 'ma'am' makes me feel like an old lady. I have never in my life met a woman who didn't want to kill the person who called them that.

Stick with 'miss'. Even if the woman is 50.
