I was born in 1981, and my earliest gaming memory is Air-Sea Battle on an Atari 2600, which was probably about 1985, maybe a little earlier. NES took up most of the memories through the 80's (even saw "The Wizard" in theaters in anticipation of Mario 3), then we got a Genesis in 1991. The Genesis was what helped me to see games as more than just fancy toys. Anyway, about my age...
My Mom teaches 7th grade English and about around 2003, a thought occurred to me about and the year 1991. This was the year most of my Mom's students were born. That means, chances are, they probably never had an original NES, much less a 2600. Also, since they probably didn't start gaming until around the age of four or five, that means that most (if not all of them) completely missed the 16-bit era and went straight to a Playstation (probably never even heard of the Saturn). They hit the ground running with full 3D and CD-ROMS. They only reason they even know what a cartridge is is because of the Game Boy or the N64. They regard full voice-over, dynamic lighting, and cinematic cut-scenes as the norm, not novelties.

That makes me feel old.

Seing commercials for those new Cartoon Network shows, as well as the announcement for Toonami being cancelled. I miss 90s CN.

When I mentioned Sega Dreamcast to my 13 year old nephew and he responded "Sega made consoles?"

I never feel old, I'm only 19 after all. Although when I think how old my favorite Disney movies are, that makes me feel a bit old.

When kids end up asking me "What's a tape?".
I mean come on it isn't that old. I was born in 83 and I knew what an LP was. Is it too much to ask for kids to have an understanding of the previous generation of technology.

Many things make me feel old and I'm only 23.

My knees and feet are missed up from martial art (Being a black belt comes at the price of being as brittle as glass). My spine, randomly vanishing vision, oh and the fact that when Im distressed I say "now you listen here".

Hahaha, I was gonna say that. The day that happened I was so confused. I always bought Opalfruits before school and then I saw Starburst there instead I was like wtf is this? That must of been 12-13 years ago.

When I started a discussion with a 13 year old that began "when I was your age, there were only 150 Pokemon!".

Also, when 13/14 year olds are marveling over the crazy fashions that people in my age bracket wore at their age.

ETA: I also had to explain using a link cable that was about a foot long so you're practically sitting on the other's person's lap if you wanted to trade or battle Pokemon with the same 13 year old.
