To kind of quote HK-47:

"Definition: 'Happiness' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, happiness is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive happiness from it. Yet for me, happiness is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds."

But in all seriousness some good music puts me in a good mood

Becoming engaged recently has made me very happy at the moment. I also sponsored a child today. Impulse decision, I blame the Californian guy who lured me in, successfully too. and bought myself the $200 perfume I've wanted for 6 months. A great way to end a shitty week :)

My job actually makes me very happy. Well, PARTS of it. I work with the Child Protective Service, and between mitigating parents, investigating and following up cases, I interview and investigate potential parents and homes for adoption agencies. And nothing makes me happier than knowing that I have matched adoption parents and a child successfully. I got a picture from a pair that I recommended back in 2007, holding a baby boy.

Whenever I feel like the depressing parts of my job is getting to me (like trying to figure out how I am gonna go about explaining to a 8 year old foster-child that biological mommy can't come to her birthday because she overdosed and died last summer), I just look at that picture and feel that what I do is worthwhile.

A friend of mine.
Whenever I think of her, I want to smile.
Which is pretty weird, because my feelings for her are entirely platonic.

This is totally new, however.
Before her, nothing made me happy.
I was too busy brooding, you see.
To be honest, when you've been a long time without happiness, suddenly finding someone you can chat to, someone who's cool and makes you smile and who likes you for who you are is awesome. The feelings don't have to be romantic.
And let's be honest, Sky is just amazing. Anyone who's friends with her is lucky :)

As for me... well like Tilly, I know some really awesome people who make me happy. There's my amazing boyfriend, there's the random pervert who can always make me laugh, there's my cosmic twin, and there's all the other great people I chat to online. Sorry, mentioning you all would make this a wall o' text.

Also, painting and knitting makes me feel great. Although obviously not at the same time...
