Yes, I know this has probably been posted a million times, especially when it's this close to the launch date, but I want to write about ME2 so I freaking will!

Anyway, I was just wondering what issues you hope are resolved in Mass Effect 2.

And please, dont post something like, "mass affect sucks/is gay and so r's u!!!!" Get a life.

For me, I hope they fix the issue with the lag. I don't know about you but my game seemed like it had lagging issues. Not too much, but just barely enough to notice. There really isn't an excuse for that in a console game.

Also, they should have cooler title screen music. I keep on turning my xbox on to kick some alien ass, and then the crappy peaceful/tranquil music comes on and makes me want to go to sleep. All the music in the game ruled except for that one song and they chose it.

But besides that, I loved the game.

I hated, hated that ME1 bug that rendered Tali unromanceable.
Gee, I hope they fixed that one.

I'll admit, I have this nagging feeling I'll miss the elevators.

But probably not.

On a more serious note, They apparently fixed the texture pop in, which was my biggest issue technically

I really hope they fix the nearly broken combat system. Cover was hard to get into, your teammates were constantly running out into battle Rambo style, and everything just had a weird feel to it. I couldn't stand the combat system.

I hope they change the combat system, I hate having to hold the trigger for a good 2 minutes to kill a krogan on insane mode.

MORE FIGHTING!!!

I mean really there was almost no fighting in mass effect 1, lots of walking and talking but only scattered fighting which failed to impress.

That they have the driving sections control a bit better..
I really don't like driving off the skyway/into lava/ into a icy valley when playing and i had the misfortune of accidentally losing control of that thing.

In Mass Effect, the turrets seem to always know where you are. And, once you're within a certain range, they turn and target you... instantly.

Anyway, yeah... I'd like that not to be in Mass Effect 2.

Amen my brother, amen. For humanity to truly prosper, we must be able to hit that. But seriously, I threw away my first attempt at the romance side-quest because I was unaware that you couldn't have Tali as the romance, and by then it was too late.

... Hey wait a second... wouldn't romance kill her?

OT: Computer shooting me in the back, or running in front of me so that I would shoot them in the back. Seriously, happened way too often.

The Mako: It was weak both offensively and defensively, and it handled like it had pogo sticks for shock absorbers. The simple fact that repairing it didn't repair the shields as well was the dumbest thing in the whole game. Once you ran out of shields, the damn thing was a death trap.

Inventory System: A giant mess on 360. Took forever to sell anything and filled up way too quickly.

Framerate issues: Even in non-combat situations the game ran under 30 FPS. If you had multiple biotic abilities going off, it was almost unplayable. The Hot Lab area on Noveria is the most glaring example. As soon as you open that door, the game ran like a Strobe light.

1. Inventory system
2. Texture pop-in
3. Inventory system
4. Squad commands
5. Inventory system
6. Elevators
7. Inventory system

These are my top seven issues with the first ME, though the even numbered problems never really bothered me that much to begin with.

The unlimted ammo... because we all hate that? I just hope that if we have ammo clips like in a shooter game, that creatures will die like a shooter game. Most rpg shooters like fallout 3 or borderlands feel too much like rpg games because you need to hit your enemies alot and at first you have low ammo. Also the actual "shooter" part of the game, and character variety. I swear I played mass effect many times and everytime most of the dialoge options lead to the same events. Like when it gives you 3 options and each one makes shepard say the same thing.

If OXM is to be believed, they did. Cover is more easily accessed, allies act according to their weaponry (i.e, if you give Thane a sniper rifle, he'll stay back to use it), and the videos show you that it at least looks a bit more actiony.

That said, I don't really trust OXM for this, especially since they showed absolutely nothing in the review that I couldn't find out just from the hype.

That horrible thing that they claim is a vehicle. The amount of times I simply wanted to reverse and turn and ended up giong in the wrong direction, then suddenly up against a wall then stuck in a spot with rockets coming at me......

And different bunker layouts.

I didn't have much trouble with the Mako; after a little careening around on a desert planet to get used to the vehicle's squishiness, we were copacetic. The only time I had a problem was when I stopped watching where I was driving in order to drink a coffee and yell at my fiancee in the backseat. Wait, that's how car accidents normally happen... Now if only our CR-V could have a turret on top like the Mako.

I'd like to see fewer clipping errors, the end.

Epilogue: I also agree with Maciech. I think more fluid, expressive character models are a realistic expectation.

Does anyone besides me miss cinemas that have been animated rather than using the standard game models? :(

For the first part, the Mako has apparently been replaced by a non-drivable hovercraft that just ferries you from place of interest to place of interest. To the second, Bioware's claiming it's better, although I haven't heard specifics. To the last, OXM claimed that the framerate legitimately is fixed.
