I really hope they fix the nearly broken combat system. Cover was hard to get into, your teammates were constantly running out into battle Rambo style, and everything just had a weird feel to it. I couldn't stand the combat system.
Strangely, I liked the combat system (other than squad AI), and 2 looks even better.

The only major issue I have is the texture pop-in, and they claim to have fixed it.

1. Texture Pop Ins

2. Boring Side Missions

3. Load Times

If those three problems are resolved it will 10 times better than Branston pickle smothered in awesome sauce.

I hated, hated that ME1 bug that rendered Tali unromanceable.
Gee, I hope they fixed that one.
i dont think that she was even meant to be romanceable.

anyway, i hope that they will fix the graphics taking a while to texture the surfaces sometimes.
It was sarcasm friend.
Yes, and you missed it.

If you'll permit me to repeat what's likely already been said:
We all know they're hooting on about no more elevators, and that textures are no longer meant to jump out and scare you when they suddenly appear. However...

Big empty boring planetary exploration MUST DIE! I've completed the game10 frigging times, and the one thing I've come to dread the most in every single play through has been trying to pilot that awkward tumbling MAKO along barren cliffs only to be treated to more barren cliffs.

Mako's gone too, thanks to BioWare for that.

Deeper character interactions. Really, why should I give a rat's ass about Liara's mommy issues? Kaiden has problems with his past, but it's hard to care when that's all he's talking about. Everyone just felt two-dimensional, and I grew tired of them, fast.

More population! The Citadel, the very heart of the galaxy, where all known sentient life converges, and it felt about as large as an average shopping mall, and was sparsely populated. Hell, why only the Citadel? I wanted to know what Earth looked like at that time, or some other colonized planet that didn't consist of a lot of places I could not enter, or a pub and a police office. Such a big galaxy, but not exactly teeming with life.

Simon says X-Y-Y-A-B-Y-A-X-X-Y-A-A-B-X-Y-A-Y-X-A-B-A-Y-X-X-X-X-Y-B-Y-A *unlocking sound*
[you've just gotten a handful of upgrades that are weaker than anything you already have]

Bigger diversity in plot! if I'm evil, let me do really nasty things to hurt others! Busting a pushy woman in the chops is one thing, but how's about giving me the option to perforate her with my pistol? Worst yet, Hackett approves either way? C'mon!

More quarians, please! Tali was interesting, but what I was more intrigued with were the images I'd built up mentally of what the flotilla must have been like.

Romance is good, but what about making something more of it? It's a game where I've killed people, some of the killings were flat out murders, should I not expect equally candid positive emotional bonding? Do I really need to work so hard at sucking up to someone just to see their nude legs for 3 seconds?

Customizable appearances in my armor. I love BioWare.

Grenades. I had a habit of hoarding them because I never knew when I would see more again. Silly, considering that I was able to do so much more damage with a well placed warp and Wrex.

This one's kinda reaching, but my personal quarters were only useful for a couple of very minute things. What if that were customizable somehow too? Or better yet, what if they reflected my choices, sort of like the dorm room in Bully.

I could keep going, but these were some of the ones that bugged me most. The big empty space that was... well, space, is still the worst one. I'd almost swear the population of the Galaxy was less than that of Albion. There's so much wrong with this...

Kaiden just complained alot. "Whaa i have a headache" "Whaa I have no friends" "Whaa I was bullied in high school". This is deep space son, we don't have time for crying. I always laughed to myself when I sent him off to his death. WHO IS CRYING NOW *****?!
Ha! That's why I tended to keep Ashley, even though she was slightly racist and a *****. Although, I never said "WHO IS CRYING NOW *****?!" although apart of me wishes I had.

On a side note, that is an awesome avatar.

Unskipable cutscenes....-_-

Especially during certain battles where I might die a couple times forcing me to rewatch the cutsence again and again and again....

Seriously who ever at Bioware thought that was a good idea needs to be crucified with spikes in the shape of dildoes upside down.

They say they've already fixed this. In fact they're using it as a selling point *rolls eyes*.

There's now: no pop-in, no elevators and no inventory system apparently. When you find new weapons you now "scan them" and when you go back to the ship your team auto-equips any scanned weapons that are more powerful than the ones they currently have.

Not sure how this new system handles your own weapons though (I mean you have to choose what to equip yourself but I don't know if you can change when you scan the weapon or if you have to wait until you return to the ship).

Less Mako exploration.
God, driving that thing got real boring, real fast.
Apparently that's out totally. I'll miss the Mako but won't miss the boring driving around the bare planets.

Texture loading issues. I hated having to wait a few seconds for the objects textures to load every time I went into a new environment. If you have to make the game a little less pretty in order to get it to load in real time, that's fine.

I didn't hate the Mako, except in the several spots where I was almost forced to make it climb a sheer vertical surface. I never killed enemies with it, even Thresher Maws, I would weaken them perhaps, but always drop out to kill them, even on Insane. For the most part, I liked the Mako, I just wish some of the navigating was a bit easier.

Combat.. I loved the Combat actually.. I played a really heavy combat oriented party - Soldier Shep with Wrex and Garus. I never had much of an issue with cover. I can't wait to boot up my Soldier Shep (although I have no idea what the game save state was like when I last played ME, and I haven't had the option to check..) and kick ass through a new game. Probably with Thrane and Subject Zero... but we'll see.

One bug that I haven't heard much mention of that I hope they fixed was the save system. There were issues when attempting to delete character data. I hope to be able to keep my list of various sheps clean.

Other then that, there's really not much else to say.. I'm apprehensive about the requirement to reload. In ME, I would just use Frictionless Mats X in my weapons to make overheating a quantum improbability. But I'll play it before judging that - most shooters require reloading, but like someone said, Krogans or Geth Destroyers on Insane at level 60 were quite... annoying to kill, even when you never had to worry about your gun overheating.

OH, another thing, I am pretty sure they fixed this, but give the characters interesting sidequests. I mean, Liara, Kaiden and Ashley didn't even have sidequests, and Tali's and Wrex's you could just stumble across before talking to them.. Only Garrus' required actually talking to him and getting to know him before being able to do it.

Yeah the Mako itself I loved. Was great driving around in that. But the boring as planets and pointless missions you used the Mako for were what I hated. I'll miss the Mako in this game.

Coming from someone who fully explored every planet about 5 times (twice when working through the game for the first few times with my old gamertag, 3 times to get all 6 ally achievements with my current one), I actually liked the planets... Maybe I was just focused in on that special emotional frequency that Bioware failed to instill in everyone else.. but I loved riding around in the Mako, and exploring the planets... Cruising around (admittedly, almost always towards an objective.. I enjoyed the trip, but I wasn't insane enough to dawdle.)..

The scene was quiet, except for the rev of the Mako's engine.. and No-one was shooting at me at the moment.. and there was a moment to relax, and just watch the scenery.. which I thought was wonderfully done.. It was quiet and serene, and then one of two things happened that removed the serenity - either I'd pull up on some baddies to kill, yippee ki-yay ************, I'm a soldier, I love fighting

Or else I'd be tasked with an insurmountable mountain to navigate, which, if it only looked ornery might allow me to drift back into my quiet place after passing it, but some of the later mountains were only climbable with very careful handling of the mako (basically zigzagging back and forth up the mountain, hoping not to launch yourself off). Maybe I'm crazy.

I think you're probably crazy. lol. Nah well I'm glad someone liked it. I really did not enjoy it. The mountains pissed me off to no end.

I hope they keep it so you get more XP for killing on foot as opposed to in the Mako. I exploited that trick against Colossi and Thresher Maws every time.
