Perfect, brutal honesty?

The comic's art itself is fantastic, but inconsistent. Well, slightly. Everything is a good, good level of excellence except for (in this comic) the bottle. Otherwise, the art is beautiful in it's simplicity, and successful in its displays. On that front, you've done very well with that part of the comic.

The writing itself looks good, from what I can see. The only thing I can see, more a function of having seen this happen in many comics, is clone characters. It may come to pass that Gerald's written "voice" will sound a lot like yours. So, make a little effort to keep the characters unique.

Otherwise, I like it. All of the above are nit-picky, and it's a good comic. I am happy to echo GhostOfOpp/Hyp's commendation, and highly encourage you to make more.

Just remember, keep your head about you, Nate.

Hmm. It's good, I'll grant you that. Drawing style is endearing and different, and while it's not incredibly funny it's chuckleworthy. And if that's only a rush job, I really look forward to the ones you take time over. Looks promising.
Your already doing better than Anarchemitis and X434343 have done.

That's exactly the kind of brutal honestly I was hoping for, thank you, Nuke.
I'll try to fix those problems.

Other than that I think I've strayed from the topic of the review itself now for long enough.

Any suggestions anyone (Except Danzorz) has can be PM'd to me and I will most likely add it to my growing list of ideas to use in the comic.

He's such a happy lil crab. I want.
*holds Gerald close*
No he's mine!
You can't have him.
We'll just see about that.....What!? You live where? Ahhh damn I can't afford to go that far.
You win this time.
You are still awesome though. If not more so than before with the comic.

Wow, after reading the beggining of the "Adventures in Ninja Cookary", it really makes me wish that someone suggested you do a comic, more reviews, and start a plush Greald and Iron Ninja factory. A plush Iron Ninja with a tiny Gerald would be so cool. I would buy one. Hundred. Thousend. Million. [Infinite Amount Here].

An oustanding review right here, Easily the best one i've read on this site. The Mad Mushroom story brought back times of screaming like a little girl every time he reared his ugly fungi head?body?thing?.

Now if only i still had a floppy drive (still have my orginal floppy disk copies back when games were a 100th in size of what they are now)

Ah well im shure i can find an online copy =]

Also this was the first game i ever actually played (not counting times of mashing buttons on asteroids and such)

Oh hey, this thing.

I should probably get around to doing more of these some time.

I think I posted a link somewhere near the bottom of the first page to a site that should allow you to download the game. It's shareware now, so there's probably a lot of other sites doing the same, but that one worked for me and as far as I know it didn't cause many a virus to invade my computer.

I too once very much enjoyed playing Keen4 whenever a certain friend brought his computer around, and after reading this splendid review, decided to go out there and find the game again. Upon doing so, I was thrilled, and not just because of the curious effects of nostalgia: it is a fantastic title, and probably my favourite 2D adventure to date. Great recommendation for a great game.
