I'm a fan of the Western mech design, even though a lot of the older design feel a little clunky to me. But I do like this one from Battlefield 2142:
Damn ninja.

The Riesig -and it's counterpart the Bogatyr- has the added ability of being able to crouch. So not only can you kill many things with ease, you can also add insult by teabagging them without leaving the comfort of your cockpit.

It's the little touches that matter.

Super dimensional fortress Macross one is clearly the best. Emperor class titans would not even scratch it.

I'm not a big fan of summoners, sparse weaponry, big target.

Give me my Hellbringer!!!
Hellbringers have chronic overheating problems and dubiously low armour.

Perhaps the dual guass rifle variant of the Maddog (Vulture)

Prometheus!

That's a Daishi, but I like where you're going. Mad Cat for me.
Victor Davion-Steiner's Daishi is called Prometheus. That's a picture of it.

Honestly, surprised someone didn't call me out on that yet.

Yeah the picture pretty much says it all.

Western Mechs are infinitival better, mainly cus they might actually work. Plus i think gundams just look colourful and prissy.
But that thing doesn't look like it would work. And I'd like to see how it stands up to a weapon powerful enough to destroy a space station.
void shields. there are weapons that wreck planets and the fucking thing would still stand tall and proud. damn imperial guard. send in a bazilion orks though.. and one or 2 will find some critical wires to pull out.. eventualy. prolly after the ammo on the old beasty ran out long ago xD
Guess I'll have to take your word for it since I know nothing about Warhammer >.>

The hellbringer is a good chassis, ok the default rigs have the problems you mention but swap out the powerplant, slap some extra armour and heat sinks on it and it's a beast.

The maddog is an old favourite of mine but I usually use it as a missileboat with 4 med er lasers for skirmishing. Very versatile though, I do have an autocannon build that I use for hit and run missions, masc and an upgraded powerplant plus a few jumpjets can give it a real turn of speed. Not a big fan of the gauss guns though as the ammo is so heavy.

8 rounds per ton tbh isnt heavy not combined with the fact it needs no cooling as the guass uses virtually no heat. and you said that the Summoner has a large profile which is odd as they virtually use the same chassis. A Summoner is a lightweight version of a Gladiator and very similar to an 3050 Atlas.

I once built a quad AC10 ultra Direwolf that could fire indefinetly (tabletop anyhoot) that kicked ass i must admit.

I'd have to go with Battletech's Uziel. At 50 tons, its not the biggest, or the baddest, but it is a solid machine. 2 PPC's, an SRM 6 and a pair of machine guns give it some good short and long range firepower, and it has enough armor to turn aside most weapons. Combine that with a decent speed, and jump jets to make it a reliable machine in any fight.
