Do I make too many threads? Because it seems like it sometimes. I just have many questions to ask. I hope it doesn't bother you guys or feels like spam.
For the past week, I've been working the night shift at a hotel during the Winter World Cup. It's a job that entails cleaning the areas that can't be cleaned during the day, but that's for later in the shift, so I start with sitting in the reception area and waiting for late arrivals and letting them in.
My boss told me to make myself comfortable during these hours, so I bought some snacks. (The reception desk doubles as a kiosk) The snacks are drawn from our pay as long as we write it down, but I always pay immediately, because it feels like I'm doing something wrong if I don't.
Anyway, as I was sipping my Cola I realized that I find soda, both alcocolic and non-alcoholic, to be much tastier when drunk straight from the bottle or can. It even applies when I have dinner with my family and soda is avaliable. It bugs my dad, since he keeps insisting that I pour it into a glass. Like a civilized person. Pffft.
Then I started thinking about other eating methods that seem to make certain foods taste better. It probably doesn't really make a difference in the method itself, but more in how we percieve it. Like ice cream. If eaten from a bowl, I think it's tastier if eaten with a large spoon. Or pizza, which tastes so good when eating it with your hands. (If you eat it with cutlery, it's fine. I ain't judging. You're just wrongI'MSORRYI'MJOKINGDON'THITME!)
And nachos taste better to me if I eat it somewhat messily. Like, "salsa and sour cream all over my face like a two-year old" messily. I'm a bit of a slob in certain areas, and I hope no friends will ever partake in eating nachos with me. I'll probably gross them out.
(Or I could stop being uncivilized and sloppy and improve my nachos manners. I guess that also works.)
So, my question is: What eating methods do you think make some foods taste better to you?
