Darkfall until mortal online releases.

As a genre, or overall, MMORPGs are full of fail. I get why most people hate them.

Officially addicted to WoW.
Who isn't :p
True that! :D
Me, I got bored after a month.

But then it wasn't my first MMO. I think most people get addicted to their first MMO.
WoW was my first MMO, and I played a few years, but a few months ago I just got tired of it and haven't looked back.

I do intend on picking up SWTOR once it comes out. That game looks like it's at least worth trying.

I do not play games to compete, hence not playing much of MMO's. Although I really enjoy getting to know people, and possibly befriend the occasional persona.

I used to play World of Warcraft, but due to financial differences, -.-, I stopped playing. Occasionally I found myself urged to play, not because I desired, but because I felt I had too, which is somewhat unsettling.

I think this is probably the majority rule.
People tend to always want what they initially learnt how to do.
I know after playing WoW for so long and then trying Guild Wars I just got really pissed off with the whole system.

Played WoW Sense release, Quit two months ago.

For me it's not the difficulty or the need for "E-penis"
It's all the douches you meet in wow.
all the great WoW players left a LOONNNNGGG time ago. I played on Nerzhul, which was the best server for the longest time for PVE, while TICH is for pvp. the games gotten too easy, the player base is only a shell of how great it used to be. and now everyone in that game are stat whores. thats why I quit 7 months ago, havent looked back.

I am looking for something to play now >.>

DOFUS

I don't really play either that much anymore but they're there for me when I'm bored.

Massive multiplayer online games?
Played Wow's free trial, but i couldn't stand the grind and how everyone was rude to me.
Played Starwars: Galaxies, couldn't stand getting beaten up by a wookie every 10 minutes.
Played Eve Online's free trail, It had some grudge on my wireless and it shut down everytime i got to see the ship.
Played runescape, i got bored
I have the 3 of the guild wars, they're not too bad but they'll only be fun with friends.
Team fortress two, love it but all the annoying 12 year olds have mics, and the polite ones dont. :( (that i've seen anyway)
Also i played a handful of browser games, you can become jaded VERY quickly with MMO's.

WoW was my refuge since release due to my predisposition towards loneliness, my social awkwardness and my complete lack of self esteem, but about 3 months ago I was fortunate enough to experience a certain unusual sequence of events that opened my mind to the possibility that I may not actually be the total sewage that I perceived myself to be, so I decided to give life another try and haven't logged in since then. I remain constantly unlucky and think in a manner that most people consider weird, but I have made some good friends and am less self-aware when I go back home at the end of the day, which is a real blessing.

I've been playing eve on and off since it came out and I'm waiting for Star Wars the old republic game.
Hmm Besides that the only MMO that I currently play is TF2 (used to play wow though for a couple of years).

quake live

I'm convinced there will never be a better online shooter.
shit, I guess that does count as an mmo, doesn't it?

Well, I recently renewed my WoW subscription, I play Quake Live a lot (a LOT, I got the daily dose award yesterday, which involves playing every day for 28 days straight)...
Well I think I saw someone mention another FPS as an MMO so I guess that by the same logic QL was... you play against lots of people, and people didn't specifically say MMORPG so...

Anyway, what's your name on Quake Live, just in case I have or do run into you in the future?
Almost the same on here. Valiantly.

I'm uhh...tier 4 FFA, tier 3 duel/ctf/CA/TDM

Asheron's Call.

It'd be nice if it still felt MMO. These days there are times I think I've had more people in comms playing Rock Band ...
