Pearl Harbor, the end always chokes me up but that's war for you; people you care about die. Hell, I lost a friend of mine almost a year ago in Iraq to a roadside bomb.

Up, Toy Story 3, and Schindler's List.......................yeah
Just the fact that you put two pixar movies and schindlers list into the same category says something doesn't it? In a good way... Pixar is an incredible studio...

OT: Toy Story 3 got me so hard in the chest... so sad... :( Other than that. Nope, no others
Exactly, Pixar has proven they have what it takes to rival the big boys...............................also, the last 15-20 mins. of the Toy Story 3 had me put my hand over my mouth. So sad and gripping.

Kingdom of Heaven, Last Samurai, Saving Private Ryan and Moulin Rouge (these sorts of movies inflicted a lot of mixed feelings, not just sadness)

One movie that actually made me very teary was My Sister's Keeper. Hit home like a tonne of bricks. :S

I vomited the first time I watched Schindlers list. Particuarly at the scene where the kids were hiding in the outhouse and said there was no room or something along that lines. Just thinking about that makes my stomach churn.

Julie, Will you get out of my head, This is the third time you've said my answer in the last two days.

So yeah, Up! - The film was so sad at the beginning that to be honest, I dont think it recovered.

Toy Story 3, by far. I pretty much had to look away and hum to myself at the end to keep from crying like a baby, or in this case, the other people my age in the theater.

Makes every other movie listed here seem pathetic... as far as sadness...
that made me so sad, i liked the little bits of humor to soften it though.

Although I could pick any movie that has made me cry, I would probably have to only pick two films, both of which are directed by Darren Aronofsky:

1.) Requiem for a Dream. The tragedy in this film is almost Shakespearean. Four unlucky souls harnessed by the addictions they have, each of them spiraling down into their own personal hell. I had to cry, mostly due to the strength of it's actors (ESPECIALLY Ellen Burstyn who was fucking robbed of her Oscar award), but mostly because things like that actually happen, and no other movie has ever really had the balls to convey it with such grit and realism to make it emotionally lasting. It's a movie that emotionally affects you, whether you want it to or not.

2.) The Fountain. While Aronofsky's Requiem gave emotions of trauma and a psychological disturbance, The Fountain left emotions of beauty, mostly because of the visual effects. It's one of the rare movies that uses visuals in order to provoke emotion rather than just show off a technological hard-on. Although each scene has a strangely luminescent golden glow, the most spectacular scenes take place in the spaceship which makes its way into a nebula, with golden clouds thundering in the background as our main character bodes tearful farewells to his deceased loved one. It's artsy, definitely, but it just kept me up at night at how god damn beautiful the fucking movie is.

I haven't seen The Wrestler yet (Which was also directed by Aronofsky) but I have a feeling I'll love it as well.

I have never cried in a movie. That doesn't mean I don't experience emotion during movies, I just don't cry. The movie that got me closest to crying was Toy Story 3, which is kind of insane when you consider it's a film about a bunch of toys, when I've seen countless movies about human death and suffering. Pixar is an amazing studio.

Toy Story 3, easily.

When Andy was showing Bonnie all of the toys, I felt the tears coming. I thought I got through it until he saw Woody at the bottom of the box. I lost it then.

Up got me for the first part. I was very close to tears. However, there was a little video online titled "I Will Play For You the Banjo" that makes me break down everytime.
