I can't watch the end of The Mist, I just can't. Ever. I prefer the ambiguous book to the soul crushing movie.shadow741 said:The book had a shitty ending, or lack thereof. It basically left the ending to the reader's imagination with little resolution.BreakfastMan said:Well, I only saw it once, but The Mist was pretty dang sad, and for no good reason too. They could have had a not horribly depressing ending and the movie would have been just as good, if not better. But no, they choose the saddest, most pitiful ending possible. *sighs* I actually think the movie was worse off for it.
OT: I'm going to have to say Requiem for a Dream. If I remember correctly Empire online ranked it as the most depressing movie of all time.
I'll be a big softie and admit that the beginning of Up and parts of Finding Nemo always get to me. I used to work at an elementary school and I would have to keep busy during those parts because the kids would bug me about it.
