EBM such as Assemblage 23, VNV Nation and Apoptygma Berzerk.
Synthpop such as Wolfsheim, Beborn Beton and De/Vision
Darkwave such as Blutengel, Switchblade Symphony and Clan of Xymox.

Well I wouldn't say unique, but I can certainly list a whole bunch of obscure bands.

Lol i hate this question cause my answer is "almost everything", which no one seems to get, even sometimes people get angry at this.

It's true, there are only 2 genres i specifically dont like, and that's rave and what i call chav (ranging from chipmunk to absolute dribble).

My fav genres are metal/rock/rap/country/orchestra

But you have to see my music library...those genres only cover about 3 quarters of my 1500 songs. 'tis true, i am wierd

i make a lot of my own music too...

i generally dont like any rock music... most of it sounds the same... but there some different stuff floating around in that genre which i do quite like...
though radiohead and coldplay types are also pretty good... the stuff i like from them is effectively ambient though lol... i always wonder why they pretend its not... :/
