I listen to a lot of hardcore punk/metalcore stuff (Comeback Kid, Parkway Drive, Gallows, Every Time I Die) so I've been trying to branch out recently. I picked up The Cure's 'Disintegration' which is a damn near perfect album, full of angst, love, sorrow and power. It's beautiful.
I just picked up Letlive - Fake History which is a killer post-hardcore album. I also bought The Ghost Of A Thousand - New Hopes, New Demonstrations and Your Demise - The Kids We Used To Be..., both of which are brutal yet masterfully written albums.
In December I'm going to the Rock Sound Riot Tour so I've been listening to a lot of Every Time I Die but they're my joint favourite band anyway (alongside Gallows and The Gaslight Anthem) so I listen to them a lot regardless.
I also bought Spycatcher's debut album 'Honesty' a few weeks back and it's full of honest (duh), in-your-face lyrics with a pop twist, but still maintains a lot of punk rock attitude. They're supporting ETID on the tour so that should kick all kinds of ass!
Next I'm gonna buy Trash Talk - Eyes And Nines because I've been meaning to get it for ages and they just got announced for the tour too, so it's gonna probably be the best gig of my fucking life!
Oh and I've been listening to a lot of Bad Religion and Alkaline Trio lately because I've not listened to either of them at all in like six months.
Side note: I put all the bands in bold in case you're interested in my taste but don't care for my ramblings.
Side side note: Everyone check out Spycatcher and Letlive, they're fantastic!
