Well, after watching "Six-String Samurai" again - Watch it, it's cool - I noticed that i haven't ever listened to much "Begin of Rock 'n roll"- style music.

So i got myself a "Best of Buddy Holly and the Crickets"
Isn't much for me though, not my style. But good to have listened to it anyway.

Here is a trailer of Six-String Samurai:

And here is Buddy Holly:

Alot of electronical music. I used to be more intro Orchestras and choirs, but I've found a certain interest in dubstep, among other genres.

An example would be:

I host a weekly radio show so I'm constantly listening to new stuff in the rock genre (that's my 'thing'). Today's episode was mostly based around songs by 80s gothic rock band The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary is one of my top ten favourite songs of all time.

Modest Mouse (thanks to QC), the Pixies (thanks to my Physics teacher) and Moonspell (thanks to Concession Chronicles)

moonspell is the only one of them i'd normally be listening to.

Alter Bridge, fucking ace band, just straight up rock, really really refreshing and enjoyable, and Myles Kennedy is fucking beastly.

And, The Dear Hunter's The Color Spectrum has rocketed them to my top 5 bands ever, everyone needs to hear it, it is literally phenomenal.

I just picked up Letlive - Fake History
This guy knows what's up.

Check out Glassjaw, if you haven't. Letlive kicks ten tons of ass, but Glassjaw is still is better IMO.

I can recommend you tons of great post-hardcore if you want.

EDIT: And ETID was like my favorite band right after they released new junk aesthetic. I kinda grew out of them, but they're still really good.

I've been listen to a lot of punk, mostly ska. Arragont Sons of Bitches, Bomb the Music Industry, RX Bandits, the Descendents to name a few. And I've also gotten into Porcupine tree, which is like some beautiful bastard child of Oasis, Tool and Opeth.

Here's a sample:

EDIT: Whoops. Fixed the link.

Totally catchy, totally heavy.
Fuck yeah.

My head is swimming with a variety of very nice noises lately.

I'm still completely enamored with the soulful, funky, electronic beats of Pretty Lights and Gramatik. Just seeing them lay their shit live made me even more addicted to their stuff. A lot of dubstep, served up many ways. You name it. A lot of continuous mixes where I couldn't really tell you who's on there, but also rocking the likes of Skream, Rusko, Mimosa and the like. Trip-hop, in the quiet times. Can never go wrong with some Thievery Corporation, Four Tet, Emancipator, or Bonobo, to name a few.

Getting hyped for another couple nights at the glorious Red Rocks Ampitheatre here in CO, so I've been playing an awful lot of Sound Tribe Sector 9 once again.

Other names I've rocked as recently as this past week include Paper Diamond, Eliot Lipp, Atmosphere, EOTO, Sublime, deadmau5, Shulman, Shpongle, Michal Menert, Pink Floyd, Lotus, Grateful Dead and Bluetech.

I listen to a lot of music all the time....and an awful lot of electronic shtuff at that.

Lately it's been mostly metal stuff. I just listened to the newest Protest the Hero album a couple times and then the new Revocation album. Anyway I think a link to my Last.Fm will explain a little better.

So here I am. [http://www.last.fm/user/JoshDuffenais]
