What music instrument would make the best weapon?

This thread wins so hard I don't even know where to begin with praising it.
IMO, it depends. If you can set up a trap throwing down a pipe organ on somebody would likely make the most impact, though a solid guitar works well to hit with. In close combat you might want a flute, simply to use it as a hitting stick.

A drum kit. You could use the cymbals, snares and toms as armor, the bass as a shield, sharpen the sticks for some discreet and handy blades or tie 'em together for a full sized sword. Nuff said.

As mentioned above, a guitar would be very effective. Or if you want ridiculously long weapons, try an oboe. A few swings could take out street gangs.
Devil May Cry 3 suggests a guitar. Nethack suggests a silver bell is an excellent weapon against lycanthropes, vampires and demons (an extra d20 damage per hit.)
Personally I'd go a cello with a sharpened spike at the base. You might be able to get a decent spear out of the thing. Or the cannon used in the 1812 Overture, despite being a an instrument secondarily.
