Please please please please Mark Twain. His "Up+B" recovery attack could be "Biting Social Commentary". His Final Smash would involve making his opponents realize that "Nothing exists but empty space and you, and you are but a thought".

The SSB games were made for one reason: to commemorate all that is Nintendo. Don't you remember the original commercial for Super Smash Bros for the N64? It had pikachu, Mario, Yoshi and Donkey Kong beating the mess out of each other. It's just a way for Nintendo to say "Hey, look at all our characters pointlessly beating the snot out of each other!" It's a tribute to Nintendo that some genius came up with randomly one day. "Hey guys...I wonder who would win in a fight between Mario and Pikachu? Or maybe Link and Samus...ooo that would be a good one!"
People always complain because they don't like the game or because they feel they got ripped off. Game Stop takes games back, you know. Go get some money back if you feel cheated. I personally loved Brawl, as well as Melee and even the original. Yes, they each had their own problems (such as it taking for dang ever to unlock all the characters in the game) and each had their own mistakes that could have been rectified, but again I point you to the reason the game was even made: Seeing Nintendo characters beat the crap out of each other. The game wasn't supposed to be an innovation, nor a title that is the "perfect" game.
If they made a new game, I would recommend returning a couple characters from Melee, such as Mewtwo and Roy. I miss Mewtwo when I play Brawl. His teleporty goodness made me smile.
If I had to say who I would like added, I would concede to the masses and say Megaman, but preferably Megaman X. Bringing people like Freeman and Master Chief would put too much intensity into a game that's supposed to be silly. But characters like Conker, Banjo, Kazooie, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Knuckles, and perhaps Mecha Sonic would be cool. Maybe if we delve into the realm of Konami, Goemon and Simon Belmont would add an interesting element.
To conclude my long thought, don't knock on Brawl because you feel Nintendo is milking a franchise. How many Madden games have they made? It's the same game with the same mechanics, the same players (save for a few new ones) and until recently the same graphics. No one complained when new Castlevania games came out, no one complained when new MGS games came out, or even the RE series. Heck, back in the day we played Street Fighter in ALL of its various forms: Turbo, World Warrior, Champion Edition, Hyper Fighting, Plus, New Challengers, etc. I owned 'em all and loved 'em. Don't knock Nintendo trying to make something new come of it.
In short, I like marshmellows.

The lone vault 101 dweller(Fallout 3)- nuka cola quantum as an item to pick up and turn you florescent blue would be awesome and V.A.T.S. slow motion fun as the super move
