Related to that, I get annoyed when people use the word "theory" as an equivalent of "wild guess" when it comes to science, to make a point that the scientists have no idea what they're talking about. I usually correct them. If they refuse to stand corrected, then I get a little more annoyed. Then tell them to go sit on an armed nuke while I hit the detonator in a bunker.
