Thief 2.

By the way, Thief 2 is one of the few sequels in the history of gaming that improved on the original without causing equivalent losses, addressed all of the community feedback about the original, improved graphics with no loss of gameplay, and avoided the decline into a Casual Piece of Shit that many sequels (ie Oblivion) did.

Then failed with 3 lol.

I still play CSS, I played System Shock 2 for the first time not that long ago and that defiantly held its own.

I'm getting KotOR 2 off my friend soon seeings as you lot go on about it so much. :)

Goldeneye is still fun to play at parties.
But only to laugh at how bad it is.
I'm sorry, I had to re-read this section to get the idea, but.... did you just say GoldenEye SUCKS? I'll agree that the first Perfect Dark is better, but that's the thing: They're made by the same guys!

Meanwhile, Final Fantasy VI > Any Other JRPG (With the exception of Chrono Trigger and Golden Sun, both of which still qualify.)

That game is still one of my favorites for the PS2.

Well, I didn't say anything about Perfect Dark since I haven't played it, but I don't think any game has aged as horribly as Goldeneye. The terrible controls, the terrible graphics, the terrible AI! It was good for its time, but nowadays it's hard to play without throwing up all over the TV.

Counter Strike 1.6 and Source.. although 1.6 is slowly losing its player base to CSS they can still fight against the new titles coming out..

I can guarantee that Money Island and Mafia can stand against new games as I replayed them recently.
I totally agree with Monkey island serius, i replayed the entire serius when i saw that they are re releasing them all with improved graphics and such... as well as another new game split into 5 parts being made by Lucas Arts and Telltale games..

Super Mario Bros. 3. I don't think they've done a Mario game as good as that one since. Nothing beats the Hammer Bros. suit.
Also Chrono Trigger, it's still one of my favourite RPGs. I'm currently playing it, well not right this second, but I am actively playing it, the DS version, but it still counts.

Super Metroid.

I can still go back to that on my SNES, and love it all over again.

Super Metroid is a great choice. It's also hard to argue against Mario 3, as it is probably the only 8 bit game that is still just as enjoyable as it was on the day of release. I can think of tons of great SNES games that are still fun nowadays. Thank goodness for things like the Virtual Console, XBox Live Arcade, etc.

Off the top of my head I'd say:

Dues Ex, God Hand, Devil May Cry 3, Pokemon Silver (best Pokemon game ever!), Final Fantasy 6, the first Super Smash Brothers...

There's loads of them! (The others from the top of my head have been mentioned).
