River City Ransom
Solar Jetman: Hunt for the Golden Warpship
Castlevania 1

All these aged wonderfully, god I love being a Retro Gamer at moments like these.

Deus Ex ---> The first one, not the second >_>'
even tho the graphics aren't great the original Deus Ex is still an amazing game to play
Since when have the graphics ever mattered? As long as you can tell perfectly what's going on, what else needs to be said about graphics?

Anyways, my answer is going to have to be... Well, above mentioned Marathon. I'm giving it points because it is the only game I have ever played that has actually made me claustrophobic. And I LIKE enclosed spaces more than most people.

I'm also pointing to Tales of Phantasia to say, "You see that, Squeenix? That is innovation. None of this "let's make it just like FF7 only without letting the player actually play" crap, try to IN-NO-VATE. GAWD."

Tetris, my all time favourite game.
Elder Scrolls Morrowind because of the amazing user created mods.
Mario Kart 64 is still great fun to play.

Tetris, hands down. 25 years old and still addictive as ever.

And I'll tell you what HASN'T aged that well. Goldeneye. I loved it back in the day, but when I pulled my N64 out a few weeks back, it just... wasn't great. Not awful, it just really wasn't as good as it was all those years ago.

KotOR (I & II)
Age of Empires II
Fable (the first one)

These are the games that every few months I play through again and really enjoy!

That may wildly differ. I find the gunplay of the game absolutely fantastic. The animations are smooth and the objectives are quite varied. Why the hell hasn't anyone copied the gunplay from it.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines because it got an epic story, multiple endings, awesome soundtrack and "OK" graphics.

Starcraft, graphics aside, the gameplay is slick as.

Diablo 2. Slick gameplay, addictive loot and replay value up the wasssoooooo.

KOTOR for reasons previously mentioned.

UFO: Enenemy Unkown. The original just brings so much to the table. Grand in every way.

Master of Orion 2: Battle at Antares. Perfect mix btween complexity and streamline in a 4X game.

For really old, Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island. The bonus of styalised graphics is that it really stops the game from aging as quickly as others and the gameplay is still fantastic.

For fairly old, Far Cry.

For "Not really old, but old in Video Game years", Crysis. Damn thing looks and plays better then the bloody sequal.

I only got the chance to play those games a few months back, and the graphics didn't burn my eyes with their awful PS2 level quality.
On top of that the gameplay was slick, smooth and some of the best I've played in years.
Why has number 3 not been made yet?
Agree, and the reason number three isn't made is because they keep making stupid spin off games on other consoles, and then they decide they need more spin offs to explain those previous spin offs, so we can expect to see a KH3 when we see a half life 3

Ninja'd on so many things.
-Golden Sun
-Ratchet & Clank
-Ape Escape 1
-Metal Gear Solid
-FF7
-Jak & Daxter
Too many to list of course. Most of the games on my megadrive and ps1 are still used regularly.
But, although i've never actually played it, World of warcraft was several years ago and it's user base has only grown from there. I'd say that's aged well.

Edit - Half life 1.

I still play Soul Reaver on occasion; System Shock's already been mentioned, though I think the second has aged better in terms of gameplay; again Deus Ex has already been mentioned.

Beyond Oasis/Story of Thor still entertains me as does Snatcher and the '97 version of Blade Runner.

Duke Nukem also aged well. I mean, the guy still looks the same as he did 15 years ago. Can't say that for most people of my age.

Chrono Trigger has aged quite well imo even the SNES translation, while not perfect, is perfectly understandable and gives a clear understanding of the plot and has a smooth progression.
