what ONE country would you save apart from your own?

Probably either Ireland, Iceland or Japan. They're my favourite countries apart from the good old United Kingdom.

Living in the UK, I'd want to save either Ireland, France, Belguim, the Netherlands, and possibly Luxembourg, Germany or Denmark, depending on the prevailing wind direction and the strength of the nukes being used.

There's no point saving yourself and another country on the other side of the world if your neighbour gets nuked.

The series is set in Britain, the cast are British, the filming was done in studios in Britain and at locations around Britain and so on. That theme park has pretty much nothing to do with it. King's Cross Station? London, England, Britain. The viaduct where the flying car buzzes the Hogwarts Express? Ribblehead Viaduct, Pennine range between Yorkshire and Lancashire, England, Britain.

...But saving Britain for Harry Potter of all things? Why not mention the saving grace of Discworld? Or Doctor Who? Or even that goddamn Shakespeare guy? Just anything but the tripe that takes place in Hogwarts. I'll save Azerbaijan before I save a country for Harry Potter.

Fair enough, but if you wouldn't save the Three Peaks for that viaduct, why save Florida for the theme park?

That's a tough choice. Canada, Australia, the U.K., Japan, and New Zealand all come to mind. I guess I'll have to go with Australia, since my childhood hero, my favourite internet celebrity, and my favourite venomous egg-laying mammal all come from there. I would be mighty sore about Canada, though, since losing Canada would mean the end of Shephard's Mind, but such sacrifices are necessary when you can only choose one
