In the case of Counter Strike it's just a matter of finding a proper server, wich I have found, thus I enjoy the game a lot.elitecrewer said:Would not suggest Quake 3 for the same reason I'd steer clear of Counter Strike -> it's the immediately being ray gunned in the eye.Anachronism said:Any of the Quake games. Yes, really, I loved it. The eye candy was just part of what makes it a great game. The power suit is just so fun. Switching between powers like that really adds a new element to the game. And if you mod the config file so you have unlimited power, so you can run like the flash as long as you want or punch like the hulk as long as you want, or eat bullets as long as you want, jump like superman etc.. yea. fun stuffMaxTheReaper said:Seriously? It just felt like another FPS.Captain_Caveman said:The extent to which i disagree is immeasurable. Crysis is awesome. I would recc getting Crysis Maximum Edition as it has all 3 games.MaxTheReaper said:Don't get Crysis.
It's pretty, but it's hardly much fun.
I would say "generic FPS," but that is an utterly redundant statement.
There is a mod that does something like that...hold on...aha! Here:MaxTheReaper said:I guess...
I just like more populated games. You know...ones that take place in cities.
I'd have enjoyed Crysis a lot more if it took place in, for instance, Liberty City, or something similar.
But you can still pick up hapless Korean soldiers by the throat and fling them several yards into hazardous places! Just like in real life!MaxTheReaper said:...Huh.Neonbob said:There is a mod that does something like that...hold on...aha! Here:MaxTheReaper said:I guess...

That is pretty cool.
Too bad there are probably no civilians to murder.
I'm going to have to recommend against that. It was just so... Unfinished. In the demo I played, there was so much left over from the Xbox (Buttons/controls etc.) and even the folder for the config files is in lowercase, which kind of shows you that they didn't put much effort into porting it.kjrubberducky said:For RPGs, I would recommend The Last Remnant.
My work here is done!MaxTheReaper said:...Damnit!Neonbob said:But you can still pick up hapless Korean soldiers by the throat and fling them several yards into hazardous places! Just like in real life!
I'm sold.
Don't get me wrong -> Counter Strike is utterly fantastic. Just arguably not too 'n00b-friendly'!Assassinator said:In the case of Counter Strike it's just a matter of finding a proper server, wich I have found, thus I enjoy the game a lot.elitecrewer said:Would not suggest Quake 3 for the same reason I'd steer clear of Counter Strike -> it's the immediately being ray gunned in the eye.Anachronism said:Any of the Quake games. Yup I'll second the motion to avoid Supreme Commander. If you really want to play it just download a copy of Total Annihilation. ::Sigh:: that was an epic game.alex134219 said:any strategy game there only good on pc(except supreme commander avoid it like swine flu)AtLeastImNotFrench said:My Xbox recently got the 3-RRODs and my Wii has lost all sense of being fun, so I've decided to buy a gaming laptop (bit too out-and-about all the time for a desktop) and return to the realm of PC gaming. Just so you know, I've set my eyes on an ASUS G71V since it seems to have enough power to deal with up-coming games.
Other than Crysis and the Orange Box, are there any other PC games I've missed since 2003?
P.S. had the Orange box on Xbox, but still love it enough to buy it again.
P.P.S. also getting B&W 2 because I like it.
