The hardest workers get treated the worst and get paid less. There's a girl who does an insane amount of hours compared to most others and is one of the few who actually does her damn job, but she gets paid around 30p less an hour (50 cents?) than the other supervisors who call in sick every time they don't feel like working and spend the day chatting.

Everyone bitches about everyone else, even the Manager does this (so much for professionalism). It truly is pathetic.

We go from being severely understaffed to ridiculously overstaffed. Since starting there I can count on my hands how many weeks I have only done my contracted hours, but now I am missing out on hours due to too many people.

There are a whole bunch of idiotic rules that are enforced whereas the more important, logical ones get ignored. It's OK for the back door to be left open and unattended for an hour or so every day, but not OK to leave out the back (straight into the car park) where the door would only be open for about 3 seconds, go figure.

I am an office courier on campus and I get very angry when office assistants are out of their office... sometimes for days at a time! Particularly if their office is way out of my way (which the repeat offenders often are) on a daily route. My job is no more fun than theirs and we all have to get our work done. SO just be at your desk during regular business hours!

I am a teacher, so I know that dealing with ignorant students can be a downer, but trust me there is no worst part that the student that quotes your last sentence to prove they understood (which would work if they did not use THE EXACT SAME WORDS)

other than that, doing nothing is the worst part of a job, just having to be there...

Politics. Fucking office politics, where every single decision requires a goddamn committee to be formed, every single purchase is micromanaged and scrutinized in minute detail, and every time a customer feels like they're "entitled" to special treatment (i.e. basically they don't want to pay their bills because...oh, I don't know, their fucking parakeet died and they're in mourning or something) they complain to our publicly-elected commissioners who are so paranoid about not getting re-elected that they immediately run to us expecting us to bend over backwards for everybody...I despise it.

I work for my Dad at two local race tacks video taping the races. We turn them into dvds and sell them. What irritates me is some of the drivers stuck up attitudes, treating us awfull cause they're from Nascar. That and Johanna Long, a young female driver who gets way to much attention cause she's a girl, T_T

Our "great new" computer system. Its so more easy and safe to take our records digitally and not on paper any more at all. Sad that it doesnt work 10% of the time, and last month we lost the whole february data. Hooray. "whuts ay bäckupp?"
Plus it doesnt work when the internet connection is bad, because we have no own harddrives at all, no us little workers cant be trusted, we only can connect and write through a corp.network somewhere at the corp.centre. And if we lose connection. "well nice you came, go home now, cause it wont be payed" Even if i DID work 4 hours before on that day.

I sometimes work at a car lot, with parked cars I have to watch and for some reason I need to wear steel toe boots. Also that I have to wear a reflective vest while in this lot.

I work Airport Security, so there's a laundry list of complaints about passengers, but what really gets me upset is all the interpersonal drama and power struggles going on with the supervisors. I avoid it as much as I can.

Since i'm going to school i can't work my usual job i'm doing part time stuff helping a family out. I shall give you a few examples of this incredibly nice family that just makes me bat shit crazy.

The other day the daughter asked can you come do my lawn for a few weeks I fired my other guy. I agreed until she could find another guy i get there expecting her to have a mower, nope she has a push one that is as old as dirt that doesn't even have a shoot to throw the grass to the side. Her yard is pretty damn big, apparently the other guy brought his stuff, but because i don't have a trailer i can't. Thank god the piece of shit wouldn't start.

I was splitting wood using the log splitter but because the guy doesn't want me to get hurt he was helping.(fyi using a log splitter is a one person job) so yeah he pulls the lever while i move the wood and i'm still adjusting a piece of wood when he pulls the handle and the thing catches my glove between the splitter and wood. Thank god my gloves don't fit well the tip was cut cleanly off, thats 22 tons of pressure for you.

They expect me to drive to there house, 30 minute drive, work for 2 hours and go home. They only pay me 7.50 which would cover the gas and little else, and i don't like driving an hour for no money. Thankfully they understand when sometimes i turn them down because i know it isn't worth the time to drive over there.

I hate all the do as i say not as i do, bull shit. We are not allowed to be on our phones on the front end, makes sense, but they make such a huge deal about. to extreme of taking peoples phones away. But our store manager and customer service manager walk around on their cell phones for most if not all of their shifts. And don't get me started on favoritism, there are two employees that i work with that should not have jobs after what they did. i'm not going into detail but they did everything but screwing each other in the office. And the district manager emails our store manager and asks him "do you know what your office ast. are doing in the office?" So of course they get a talking to. really. thats it. There is nothing that those two can do short of killing someone to get fired. Even then the store manager would probably defend them, saying it was self defense. God the more i write the more pissed im getting at work so im going to stop here.

P.S. I've worked my butt off for this company for 3 years and I have been promoted to a position just short of manager and im making like 20 cents more then someone who was hired yesterday. So fuck you Food Lion

I work at an arcade/pizzeria, so the kids. I hate the kids, and even the adults that lie about how a game breaks. Or when a game breaks and I can't fix it and I get complained at. To the point where not only was my life threatened, but he told my manager that I was not doing my job and slacking off because I couldn't fix something due to the lock being broken and not having the ability to get inside. Simply because "there are alot of people paying too much money for that to be broken". Oh, my bad, didn't know that rubbing money on it could fix it.
