What pisses you off at work...?

What I hate about work, any kind of work, can be summed up nicely in one word: P-E-O-P-L-E.

This is pretty petty, but flip-flops. I hate the sound of flip-flops in the office. One person here wears them constantly (I swear she should just come into work in her pajamas, dressing is obviously not in her skill set). And she's such a gossip, flits about the place gathering information like it's nectar and dropping it off at the desks of others. And the way she walks by me and says "And how is Lisolet today?" but doesn't stop for my answer, just keeps walking (not that I'd tell her anything besides "fine"). And her laugh - such an annoying laugh that I ... wait a minute, I just figured it out. What bugs me at work is my co-worker!

I've got a laundry list of complaints about management, the fact that I have to tell the Backup Team that their backups failed again last night, or try to convince the Storage Team that those disk failures my databases are reporting are something they maybe might want to look at, but the one that gets me really riled all day every, day is her.

And she just flip-flopped by me again. Grr.....

i agree with the sounds of flip-flops, but i'd go further to say any backless shoe women wear to the office. sweet fucking moses i hate that sound!!!

other than that, i really hate loud people at the office. the kind of people who talk loudly all the time so that everyone can hear them and know just how fucking important they are.

I'm a software engineer so I'd have to go with:

The non-engineers who have access to source code. They have zero concept of coding standards and don't understand that just because their module/fix/whatever works, doesn't mean that it won't break EVERYONE ELSE'S work. And the worst part is that they see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with breaking EVERYTHING BUT THEIR OWN SHIT.

Also, people who don't even work for the company that drink four times as much of our coffee as any one person who actually works for the company does.

I work at my local Tesco and at 10pm the nightshift start and while us dayshift clean up just before 10. All the nighthift do is stand around talking until exactly 10. When we are cleaning up for their benefit!

God it makes me angry!

I'm head of IT for a credit union.......so i'll have to go with computer retarded members and even more computer retarded employees. Every week I get asked a question so dumb it takes me 5 minutes just to process it and even then I'm not sure how to respond. I actually got asked how you reply to an email.

My boss. He's one of those, "If it's not American, it doesn't mean shit.", kinda people. I have no problem with being proud of something, but I hate when anyone has to be a supremacist about it like him, even when he gets proven wrong about multiple facts by at least 4 people on a daily basis.

I work at a fast food restaurant, I just get bitched at by ignorant customers who believe they deserve everything for free. That and we get yelled at if we are moving at an impossible to maintain pace, and just have a lot of arbitrary rules.
