Of course we are all guilty, but there is nothing that can rise higher than religion on the scale of hypocritical bullshit.
Maybe, maybe not. There are plenty of incredibly hypocritical people, ideas, etc. I'm a fairly hypocritical person (I wish not to be, and I am trying my best to not be such anymore).TomLikesGuitar said:Of course we are all guilty, but there is nothing that can rise higher than religion on the scale of hypocritical bullshit.
The problem being is that by having "black" and "white", you will still have some distinction between the races. It's not that it's necessarily wrong to do so, but the problem is that so long as you continue to consider each race unique you will inevitably have people who act/think on the basis of the separation. Remember, group names are designed to specifically separate, and that separation automatically implies a certain level of inequality, that's my point.TheComedown said:What? You can have racial equality, but you're not allowed to acknowledge that they have a different coloured skin? Why? How is it any different from saying "the guy with the long hair" or "the big guy with the beard"? Yes black and white are equal, but just because they are equal doesn't change the colour of their skin.MikailCaboose said:Anyone who fights for racial equality, yet then goes on to continue to use (and fervently stick with) "black", "white", etc.. It just...doesn't work like that. You simply can't have both.
So what? This shit is going to happen with everything, look at the kids that get picked on the most in school, in an all white school there is still inequality. Saying that its hypocritical to use the terms "black" and "white" is just stupid, its the same as saying its hypocritical to say "blonds" or "ginger kid" or that someone is "big" etc.MikailCaboose said:The problem being is that by having "black" and "white", you will still have some distinction between the races.
