In a way, all of them. There are some 'listenable' bands that are popular (thinking of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Linkin Park here [though Fort Minor > Linkin Park by far]), but there are extremely few people who have ever heard of names like Ayreon, Streetlight Manifesto, The Flatliners or A Wilhelm Scream, even though all those bands have twice as much musical skill, lyrical ingenuity or originality as any random band in any random top 40 or top 100.

Wow, you all let U2 slip under your radars. For shame... Also, The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I second the U2 nomination. RHCP were fun back before 1992. Now they've been cranking out the same album ever since. I definitely don't HATE Led Zepplin, but I don't really get the whole 'they were a musical revelation, man' thing that everyone raves about. I do love the Immigrant Song.

Miley Cyrus...
No matter how much they change her voice she still manages to sound like some dying animal.

I love Streetlight.

Pink Floyd and The Beatles

I think they both suck terribly.
How can you say the beatles Sgt. Peppers was a musical masterpiece
I'm sorry I just don't like them...

I also don't care for Mr. Hendrix.

Carlos Santana is a much better guitarist then him to me.

The prodigy and Pendulum, UTTER BULLSHOIT!
I pity you, fool.
Either you listened to them while sitting in an armchair and knitting or you have no idea how a good party can look like.
*sigh* thers always one, as you can see no one else took this personally and i certainly didnt when one of my bands was listed.

ITT: 'cool to hate' bandwagons.

It's very annoying that bands people dislike are constantly referred to as 'gay' or 'fags'. How 'bout everyone shuts the fuck up with that kind of remark? If they haven't come out as homosexual, it's unfounded and potentially libellous. If they have, it's homophobic abuse. Either way it makes you an idiot. Feel free to express your disdain for them, but get a better vocabulary.

So... as for what I hate, well, not a lot really. There's plenty of stuff I can't bring myself to care about, either because it's not aimed at people like me (Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, other Disney stuff, rap, R&B, etc) or because it's just so laughably bad it doesn't warrant my attention (Westlife, Steps, that sort of lark). So we're left with stuff that could potentially be aimed at me and is bad enough to just be bad without turning the corner into comedy. And stuff that has a lot of irritating fanboys who'll jump on you en masse for the slightest negative comment. I reckon that gives us:

Nickelback
Dragonforce
Coldplay (although, in retrospect, 'Viva La Vida' and 'In My Place' were good songs)
U2 (largely due to Bono)
The Ting Tings
The Enemy
Theory Of A Deadman
Chris Cornell (mainly due to disappointment regarding his recent stuff, Soundgarden were phenomenal and I still regard him among my top three favourite singers of all time)

...probably more, but this is already turning into a bit of a wall o' text so I'll cut it there.

I believe you guys have touched on most all the shitty bands I'd like to oust. But ironically, I hate indie bands just as much. The whole indie scene is ridiculous. If you maintain your obscurity by choice, then there's no point in putting out albums, now, is there?

I AM COOL I HATE ALL POPULAR BANDS

You know, I didn't even read this thread and I know it's 5 pages of pretentious elitism.
