I'm not too fond of console shooters. I like playing them but it just seems like their are tons of them all the time and none are that much different from each other. Everyone always seems to go on about how amazing they are but I'm just not that interested in getting another generic shooter

Bioshock (Not really hate, just boredom)

Mass Effect (Ditto)

Oh god, such a list...

-Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Took everything good out that Morrowind had. I prefer Daggerfall, really.
Call of Duty: Any of them. Just boring FPS
Fallout 3: Oblivion with guns. Nuff said.
Baldur's Gate: I love D&D, I love Forgotten Realms, I HATE this game! The controls are just unplayable.
Halo: A boring sci-fi FPS
Sports games should go unstated, since it's rather obvious for most people here.
Soul Calibur 4: Because the series has gone downhill after 2.

Side note: I don't hate all FPS. I loved Painkiller and Breakdown. I enjoy Duke Nukem 3d, and I'm looking forward to DNF. I just hate the way series like Halo and Call of Duty approach this genre with so most wasted potential.

Half-Life. Why doesn't Gorden Freeman talk? Valve are so lazy not finding a voice actor worthy of being the protagonist.
Well that is an odd statement...
Have you considered this may be the way it was intended?
So instead of some protagonist acting in your stead it would appear as if you are him, providing a better feel of immersion.

For me, I don't actually hate any game, just dislike the most:
- Halo (it just feels so empty)
- Crysis, Crysis:Warhead, Far Cry 2 (awesome tech demos, but not really games)
- Mass Effect 2 (not at all on the top of my list, just wanted to mention it, because I signed up for an RPG game and they served a 3rd person shooter with some story... and that is just a kick in the groin)

Well what I really hate are threads like this that just bring out festering hate for . These trades lead to little discussion other than statements of what games people hate for very unfleshed out reaons/flame wars.

OT: Halo 3 but that was because it took what could of been a very good game and made it mediocre. There were so many improvements and fall downs in Halo 2 over Halo you think they would of gotten the formula right. I thought the dual parallel campaign and boss fight at the end worked brilliantly then for those that want it they could of added a Warthog vehicle section for those that prefered that. I don't see why we couldn't have both in that regard.

I'm starting to wane it comes to Call of Duty, it was fine till it became apparent that it was he same game with just a skin change. Final Fantasy XIII was a buzz kill, one large corridor that held your hand the entire way through.

Call of Duty, but that seems to be a rather popular answer. I also don't like any of the 'main' Final Fantasy games.

Red Dead Redemption. There I said it. I don't know how you make a western-themed shooter boring as batshit, but Rockstar managed it with flying colours.

Pick any online FPS. I just don't enjoy them, I never have, and I never will.
Would this be a bad time to point out your avatar bears a striking resemblance to the Spy, from the multiplayer FPS TF2?

:p

the Halo series. every time a new one comes out there are SO many threads made about it on here that it has put me off.
Ohhhhohohohoh. You just wait, mate. You just wait till Half-Life 2 episode 3 comes out. I doubt there'll be a thread that isn't about it anywhere on this subforum.

OT: Speaking of which... I don't hate Half-Life 2, but it's so overrated it's not even funny. Halo's better, IMO (that too is overrated, but only a little bit, I'd give the series overall a 9.0 max... not a perfect 10, that's ridiculous, for any game).

Also, KOTOR, because I played the superior Mass Effect first which kinda ruined it for me. :/

First one that comes to mind is Bioshock.

I was so bored playing that game, I'm surprised I even managed to make it to the end. Thankfully I picked it up for only a fiver, but still traded it in about 2 weeks later. Still haven't done much on Bioshock 2 yet as I was just so bored playing it.

The setting sounded interesting at first, but all you do essentially is run through corridors. Didn't really find anything about that game interesting when I sat down to play it. I also, had no idea it was meant to be a scary game until I first watched Zero Punctuation. About a year after finishing it.

Secondly, Dead Space.

As above, was just not interested in it. Knew it was meant to be a horror but just didn't find it scary at all. Shooting those fucking asteroids was a pain as well.
