Halo, CoD, Final Fantasy.

I've played other games in the same genre as these that were miles better.

CoD < Halo < Team Fortress 2

Final Fantasy's old iterations are pants compared to Sweet Home and Mother 1.

Final Fantasy's SNES iterations are pants compared to EarthBound and there's probably more SNES RPG'S I have yet to try.

Final Fantasy's PS1 iterations are fairly meh anyway. FF8 being the worst offender, I cannot stand to play this game for more than an few hours, it puts me to sleep.

And the PS2 to next gen iterations? Just....bleh. I can't really find any other JRPGS on modern consoles. Blue Dragon was alright but nothing special but the PS2 and newer iterations of FF were just plain bad for me, I cannot stand them even if I can't find better examples for this category.

Every single time I've played a FF game I can think of a few games from the same era that were better and that I'd rather be playing.

Deus Ex. Hated it, SO MUCH!

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Overcomplicated in MANY aspects (though it's a little more realistic, IT'S A FUCKING FANTASY GAME), mods wouldn't work for me (though I could probably get them to work just fine now, I haven't bothered to try. Maybe when I get bored of New Vegas).

That's... That's about it, I think.
Oblivion? Overcomplicated?

Huh?

What is it about Oblivion that is complicated?
I agree i thought it kinda was when i first started but after about an hour you get to know everything.

The Halo series because it was generic and dull, and all of the CoDs except for the 4th.

World of Warcraft. I cannot for the life of me see how there are 12 million people playing that rubbish.
Seconded. And worst of all is they keep paying to play it.

Probably Dragon Age : Origins. Perhaps 'hate' is too strong a word for my opinion on it, but I just found it fairly boring all-round.
Are you going to get DA:O 2? I didn't like DA:O either, at all. I didn't even get to recruiting even two of the armies at the beginning.
But I still want DA:O 2, for some reason. It's a very appealing game.

What about Bioshock: did you play that? Did you like it? - I didn't, I'm just curious to see whether all Bioware games are similar.
Same goes for Mass Effect. - Except I played the second, and didn't like it for the same reasons as DA:O.

Edit: Totally forgot about the OP.
OT: Er. Wait, no. All of those games I just mentioned.

For me it would have to be Diablo II, Warcraft 3, and Counter Strike: Source. I've just never been able to see what all the fuss is about.

For me it has to be assassins creed 2. I just didn't like it. Or Transformers war for cybertron, or mario galaxly 2 for that matter. Whats your opinion?
Wha-- when did Transformers: War for Cybertron get popular?

As for me, it might not be a real game but I know so many people who play it that it has to be mentioned: Farmville.
Also, never been a fan of several traditional JRPGS; Final Fantasy, Golden Sun etc.

CoD. Halo. Gears of War. Pretty much everything the Wii has spat out.
Mirrors Edge.

To hate something is to resent it to the point that you prefer it never existed. Some games come to mind when I hear such a distinction, but not many.
All the Duke Nukem and Manhunt, for example. They've only caused trouble for the name of games.
eh? Duke Nukem causing trouble for the name of games?? Ohhhkay.
Problem: "Video Games inspire violence in adolescents and kids"

Potential Evidence: Someone could very easily blame Duke Nukem. Kill a random woman with a meat cleaver and then piss in her wounds. That is totally friendly.

OT: Halo series, all of it. I have played every one of them and although it seems obvious that they get worse over time, I didn't really care for Halo 1 in the first place.

Oblivion. I can't seem to get into it or care about the people I'm supposed to be saving from doom. The only guy I actually liked dies in the intro so it all seems moot after that.

Fable series as well. Similar reason.

The Zelda series isn't something I ever really enjoyed. I've played all of them pretty much and I've had no luck with finding one I like. I avoided the DS ones because I hate touchscreen games. Though at least you can say I've tried it vs 90% of the people here who whine about games being overrated :)

Need I say it?

The Half Life series.

So over hyped, I expected to be blown away. Needless to say, I was not. Tedious gameplay, with horrible vehicle parts, with annoying characters.

While it was probably groundbraking at its time, it was just a generic fps to me.

Call of Duty.
All iterations. Especially the multiplayer. Boring. Boring Boring Boring. Just a reflex test of who can shoot who in the head the fastest while picking the best crate to crouch behind, repeated to infinity.

BORING.

Wow! A lot of people have said Mass Effect 1 and 2. And Half Life! Okay.

I pick Oblivion, just couldn't get into it, and most MMORPG's. They're not my kind of thing.
